  1. Why would J. Skinner waive his NMC?

Most likely scenario, EDM accrue cap close to trade deadline and put E. Kane on LTIR (pull an VGK with Kane). Get the 2 players (1F and 1D) needed with the cap available and rotate the scratches (Ryan / Skinner / Perry etc..) until playoff comes

  2. You trade Jeff skinner and bring in Johnathan T for the run to the playoffs. That would be the best guy you have to finish your bottom 6. Ryan won’t be in the lineup and Kane comes back and someone else is out.
    Nuge McDavid Hyman
    Podkolzin Leon Arvidson
    Kane Heinrich/Toews Brown
    Janmark Heinrich/Toews Perry/Kapenan
Ryan is the extra forward and Skinner gets traded. Leaves the kids in the minors until playoff time. Or if Toews doesn’t work out, you bring up Philp. I think Perry is also someone who might sit a bit more until playoff time to rest his old man body. You gain 2 million in cap space by trading Skinner and signing Toews at $1,000,000. So you could even call up Philp and have him there too.

  3. You’re asking me how a watch works. For now we’ll just keep an eye on the time.

Meaning there is lots of games to win and points to gain. Let’s not get ahead of ourselves with roster moves and decisions that aren’t ready to be made.

This team has work to do. There is no dilemma, no problem to solve other than winning games right now. They have what they need.

Kane hasn’t even begun to skate…
Worry about Kane when he’s ready to partake in practice.

The Oil are focused on saving the body. Playing as a team, finding their groove and winning games.

    Enjoy the ride.
