“I Don’t Like The Frontcourt Fit”: The 2024-25 Edition

  1. Thought I’d share a fun visual that shows how the Cavs starting frontcourt has stacked up against the rest of the league. If this doesn’t speak to the versatility of Evan Mobley, nothing does.

Couple disclaimers. Typically Aaron Gordon would be the “true PF” in Denver, but since he’s missed a ton of games, I went with MPJ who has doubled him up, which unfortunately in this instance, prevented Frobley from sitting atop the list. But I thought it was more objectively accurate to give Denver credit for the performance of their minute leading duo at C/PF. Secondly, I gave Orlando and New Orleans the same treatment, and I think in Orlando’s case, they performed surprisingly well given that nobody had planned on Goga/TdS logging such a heavy workload.

  2. On a side note, Goga Bitadze is probably more valuable than Zion today. Shout-out to the guy for sticking it out

  3. Cool graphic, also shows how good the rotations have been that both JA and Mobley are performing so well without the other.

Also shows how good MPJ is with Joker tbh, I don’t understand why Denver is trying to trade him.

  4. Sorry if I’m missing it somewhere, but what stat are we looking at? +/-, PER?
