Nick Smith Jr fans we up
#FreeNSJ
Get Nick Smith and Brandon Miller some help!
I’m tired boss
Big ups to Brandon and nsj it warms my heart to see nick smith ball out he deserves it can’t wait to hopefully see him ball the fuck out on Tuesday.
I dont want to hear nothing about coaching until we have actual healthy nba players on our roster
NSJ finally looks like he’s ready for the league, we needed this badly right now.
Topic of discussion:
Big Dick Nick’s minutes have been fading fast. Down to 7 minutes tonight, benched second half.
Is something wrong? Lingering soreness or issue? Is he being cotton wooled before a trade? Is Diabete being a future king moving front office’s cards faster than we expected?
Giving young players minutes give fans some hope. I REALLY hope most of our bench vets are not in the team after the deadline.
NSJ should get minutes, Josh Green is bad, and Diabate should not be in the G League. Diabate’s defense was sorely needed this game, especially since Nick Richards was really bad, and Mark Williams was having a rough night. I know that we’re tanking but can we at least make it fun to watch?
I get losing to the Cavs but that second quarter was bad even for our low standards
Green and Micic putting up Tony Snell numbers. Meanwhile, Nick Smith is putting up 18 points in 19 minutes.
Donovan and KJ were the last guys on the court. It looked like Donovan was giving him advice and KJ was listening very intently. Wonder if they have a connection.
also Nick and Micic DNP in 2nd half it’s a fucking miracle. Trade them tomorrow
You know what’s kinda funny… a couple months ago I thought the Hornets were a team that showed promise and had the potential to be a decent B-tier team in the near future and that the Panthers were the worst team in their league.
Now it’s reversed…
Ah, the pains of being a Charlotte sports fan lol
Im so excited for the trade deadline. Moussa and nick could be playing full backup minutes and no more micic hero ball
Couldn’t catch the game but
Yo NSJ?? Reminds me of when he popped off in the Denver game last season.
NSJ is ready. Play him.
Mark is kinda weak. Ig losing the last offseason really hurt him. He needs to be better at boxing out and positioning, and he needs to go up stronger on offense. He had a layup swatted away today which with his wingspan and height is inexcusable. Could be something physical but I think it’s mental honestly. He seems like a player that will scale up well if we ever get better, like a Kevon Looney type.
Miles isn’t good anymore. He has the same issue as Mark on not going up strong. He also is crazy streaky from 3. I’d give him up pretty quickly if someone offered.
Richards was especially awful today. Like, when I saw him and Micic come in I knew they would go on a run (they did) but even knowing that he still stood out to me as particularly awful today. Glad he got pulled and I wish we would stop messing around with Moussa and just promote him already.
Lamelo always takes a couple games to get his rhythm back so I’m not worried. The shot was mostly there and he wasn’t forcing much. He’s allowed to have stinkers now and then with his usage.
Cut Micic immediately.
Salaun is coming along slowly but surely. Needs to prioritize working on his finishing this offseason to at least open up his driving game.
I kinda miss Wong, especially on defense. Not sure how you could justify playing him in a rotation that also has NSJ but scoring has been an issue quite often this year so if he’s not in Gboro maybe get him in for 5 min as a burst of energy. I kinda like his pg play more than Nick’s so he could be the Micic replacement we desperately need. Not to mention Curry is out rn so there’s a place for him I feel.
Cody is whatever. Don’t really care if he stays or goes, so long as he is playing his role and nothing else. I realize that’s asking a lot of this team as it requires everyone to stay healthy, but that’s the only way he is close to good.
Brandon shoot ball good.
Green not shoot ball good. Literally airballed a corner three and went scoreless. His bricks are an artform.
KJ was alright ig.
Taj Gibson is playing NBA minutes in the year of our Lord 2025. That’s a win in my book.
Cavs look good. I think we actually played them decently well starters vs starters. Difference is they are one of the deepest teams while we have zero depth. I think it comes down to their style being very balanced — not too many threes and not centered around big play. We play similarly at full strength and can match up at each position. Problem is they can send their bench in to spam threes with Mobley at the 5 and we can’t even keep possession with our bench players.
GGs Cavs. Playoffs should be fun this year despite what everyone says about the East.
NSJ showing he can do anything but hit 3s for the first time in his career.
We finally learned how to tank
Bringing back Brandon and LaMelo for this game was a masterclass
Lee should be one and done.
I love that NSJ had a great game tonight and hopefully it continues! But, having watched every minute he’s played this year- he’s been very very rough so far. I hope this will be a turnaround for him
