“-Stancl led all skaters with 6 goals
-Dvorsky only skater to get 9 points in only 5 GP
-Stenberg dominates for Sweden
-Pekarcik and Dvorsky chemistry is going to be an absolute problem for future NHL teams. Shades of Kyrou and Thomas”
World Juniors success isn’t a sure sign of NHL stardom, but its a reason to be optimistic. They’re all gonna be NHLers at a minimum. That seemed always a given with the first rounders here, but seeing later round picks like Stancl, Jecho, and Pekarcik go off is a different kind of exciting.
It’s funny how the Athletic grades the Blues at the bottom portion of the middle of the pack. There was only one team that had more than one player on that list and it was two. Who knows if there are any stars there, but there’s got to be more than a few really good starters there. Call me a homer, I think this team is going to be really darn good in three years and it’s going to be a lot of fun watching the ride!
Keep in mind that Sweden and Czechia got to play blowouts against Kazakhstan. That padded some scoring stats compared to group A teams.
Still, the blues prospects looked good.
What are realistic projections for Stancl and Pekarcik? I know the least about them of these guys
God I can’t stand Welch. Dude acts like he’s some insightful insider, and people often treat him as such, but he doesn’t know jack squat. His girlfriend is even worse. That’s an uber cringe duo that gets way too much fucking attention. 😂
With that said, it’s been well stated everywhere lately how well the Blues’ future looks. There’s a lot to be optimistic about. But let’s not go comparing guys to Thomas and Kyrou just yet. Jesus Christ. 🤦
