The Yankees are reportedly “actively trying to deal” Marcus Stroman, according to Bob Nightengale of USA Today.

  1. Pretty sure we saw what they think his true value is when he was asked to throw 0 pitches in the post season.

  2. Any teams with a spare 3b who need pitching? Of course we will have to eat most of the contract.

  3. They’d only really move him if they had another move ready to go right? Is this in anticipation for Arraez?

  4. Stroman will be on the A’s. They need his contract to avoid a grievance with the MLBPA.

  5. Honestly his away ERA is absolutely serviceable. I don’t think the short porch did him any favors. After seeing Morton get 15mil and if the Yankees eat a few million, moving him shouldn’t be a problem.

  6. I remember when ppl were saying we lucked out missing on Yamamoto because Stroman started out hot. Hopefully the backup plan for Soto works out better

  7. Im probably in the minority here that I’d prefer to keep him on the roster as a guy that can eat a lot of innings, pitches well away from home, and is a great team mate in the club house

  8. Stroman has a habit of cooling off in the second half of the season. It doesn’t happen every year but it happens most of the time.
