Tennessee Titans GM Interviews CONTINUE, GM Hire Must Happen QUICKLY & Mike Keith Leaves Titans
The Tennessee Titans continued putting in requests for interviews on Thursday as they search for their next general manager and some of the interesting candidates that got a call would be a good fit for the Titans. The Titans do need to make this decision quickly. Tyler explains why this decision must happen fast and lays out the timeline of when we should get word on who will be hired. Finally, the Titans lost the most stable part of their franchise on Thursday when broadcaster Mike Keith announced he would be leaving the team to take the same job with the Tennessee Volunteers and while this move doesn’t affect the on-field product, it certainly symbolizes a critical moment in franchise history.

We couldn’t afford cable tv when I was growing up so I didn’t get to watch many games, but I always had the radio on. In my opinion Mike Keith is the best sports broadcaster ever. Not only knowing everything about every Titans player but also every opponent player. It will be impossible to replace him.
Dude, you can't cwith a straight face ompare the Titans and Vols radio jobs. I know you're a transplanted yankee, but NO one in TN cares about listening to NFL on the radio. The Vols radio broadcasters are legends and the most prestigious broadcasting job in the state for the past 100 years. Titans are the minor leagues in that regard. He'd have still went to Knoxville if the Titans won the Super Bowl last year.

Mike leaving tells me a lot. I don't know if it's the culture shift with the team but you don't leave from this job unless the fire has gone out.

I’m a vols fan and while Keith has stated that being the voice of the vols is his dream job. There is no way at all that the current state of the Titans organization did not play a part in him leaving

I think Will Levis will be a good fit in Miami as a back up. With the uncertainty of their quarterback, they need to start thinking about that.

Give a veteran qb a 1 yr deal, draft a qb and allow that qb to develop for a year. I prefer Sanders because he had very little time in the pocket and he has the ability to make throws while on the run.
