3. Of that list it is Obi and it's not particularly close. He's what we need, as a team, moving forward and through the playoffs. People can't overreact to this stretch of injury and seek to fix what appears to be the problem now. This is about the second half and being able to finish strong going into the playoffs.

4. What make you think the Pacers would want to trade Toppin? He's a productive, athletic player with a team-friendly contract. If so then it would cost a first round pick for sure.
   Thybulle is a defensive player. I think it's a lateral move for the Mavs. He's buried in the Blazers' bench. Didn't see much of him against the Mavs with the three games played so far. No.
   Chris Boucher is an older version of Toppin. May be.
   Olynyk can play power forward with good offensive skill and rebounding. A better version of Kleber.

8. I think your looking at last years stats for Thybulle. Doesn’t look like he’s played yet this year

9. Obi would be a sexy move if you consider winning sexy. He's averaging 20 minutes and gets 10 points and 4 boards. Big wingspan and obviously can finish at the rim. With Luka and Kyrie creating, his corner 3 would be deadly in this offence. He's so good I don't know why he's in this conversation. Obi avg 10 pts.; Kleber avg 4. Obi avg 4 boards; Kleber avg 2.5. Obi hitting 36% from three; Kleber avg 26%. Both avg 20 minutes.

   Surely, Indiana wants to keep him. He's splitting time with Siakam and Turner and after those two and Toppin there's not much there. Maybe Carlisle would like to take Maxi for old times sake?

10. 1 or 3 simply because backup 4 is such a drop when 3J Washington is out of the lineup. I would only go for Thybulle if we had to use Grimes, Thompson, or Marshall in the trade package. To pick up another wing may cause one of them to go cold due to lack of minutes.

16. With the injury situation, the 2025 1st pick should be out of any deal for a role player.

17. That is a major NO on Thybulle. Maxi’s size will get him time in the playoffs. Thybulle would have to take minutes from Nazi, Grimes, or Klay. Thats not happening.

23. Get Thybulle. Thinking of the teams we have to play to get out of the west, OKC w/ SGA, Mem w/ Ja, Min w/ AE, Hou w/ Jalen Green, having an ELITE defender to come in off of the bench to backup P-Jail is a recipe for success. Thybulle can also guard 1-4 unlike Maxi who is basically a cone.

24. I like Thybulle but he’s undersized compared to Maxi. We need to get a player with a similar build for Maxi. Thybulle plays more of the 3 spot.

25. @MavsTV Pass on all of the players you mentioned. Instead trade for at guard/wing: Cam Thomas, Dyson Daniels, Chris Duarte, Vit Krejci or Svi Mykhailiuk.
    Trade for at the power forward position: Trey Lyles, Dean Wade, Goga Bitadze, Tristan Vukcevic, Santi Aldama or Sandro Mamukelashvili. All of these players would be an upgrade & hrlp the Mavericks especially with the injures they current have.

30. Give me Thybulle. He's the type of elite defender you need in the playoffs. Put him on SGA/Ant/Ja and forget it. He's going to limit those guys and force someone else to beat you.

33. Definite no on Thybulle. The need is a big, defensive 4/5 who can give you more on offense than Maxi.
    Toppin has size but Thybulle doesn't.

40. Whoever we get we cannot let go of Grimes. The guy has proved himself to be consistent the last 20 games and frankly I can see him turning into the superstar Jalen Brunson has become. We don’t need to make that mistake twice. I hate to do it but no one is taking Maxi alone if we have to give up anyone getting reasonable mins it needs to be Hardy. He has been inconsistent since his come up and him and Grimes are only 2 years apart. Again I’d like to keep him but the Hardy is inconsistent and NO ONE will take Maxi by himself. Keep Grimes and pay him like he’s a starter that you want for a long time.
