[Rapoport] The Patriots are expected to hire Mike Vrabel as their new head coach, per me and Tom Pelissero. The clear favorite from the beginning. A former All-Pro in New England and member of the team’s Hall of Fame, Vrabel lands at his top choice. Back with his old team.

3. NFL teams signing coaches we weren’t targeting is always a good thing.

6. So basically us and the Bears and from what I have read, the increasing smoke coming from the Bears has been complications rising in the later process. Maybe it’s hopium. Surely it’s hopium. Still, I need the cope real damned bad

7. How does it work with candidates that are currently coaching like Ben Johnson? Would they wait until after their season is over before accepting a position?

10. I think this was the worst kept secret of the offseason once Mayo got canned. Wonder if Vrabel will get let go after one losing season like Mayo did? That Pats roster is garbage. BB couldn’t win with it. They didn’t give Mayo much of a chance. Brady covered up for a lot of poor BB draft picks and FA signings. Maye could be a good QB, but I don’t see him being able to pull a Brady and cover up multiple deficiencies. Jags and Bears have better rosters. Time will tell.

11. I’m holding out for Ben as HC with Mark as OC and Saleh as DC.

    I wouldn’t mind Aaron as DC but I’d prefer Robert.
