  1. Favorite thing on SNL. Right now with two littles I am a very lapsed fan of things I like (SNL, Pro Wrestling, Cavs) so some of the highlights are funny. I still go back and watch Will Forte skits. The guy was so weird and so funny.

Someone on Reddit had mentioned Blake Sabol as someone the team should target as he was recently DFA'ed. Left Handed Hitter, COF 1B C. Would it be better to have him than a Free/Schnee?

  2. Hi Guys, love the show. Jeff you said that Kwan wasn't the kind of player that the Guards identify as wanting long term. My question is what do they want long term pitching wise it's obvious, extension, but they can't/won't develop power and gravitate towards contact first college SS, 2B, CFs. Isn't that the player Kwan is? Isn't bazzana graded out as a good defender with some pop and above average(70) contact? It seems we want players like that and then they become Giménez or ask for money we get rid of them. What do the Guards want out of a position player other than a HOFer on a 50% discount?

  3. signed up as an Insider, thanks as always for the content, guys!

I am not a huge draftnik type of guy, so I definitely like the draft-related podcasts, whether current stuff or historical review, since it gives me good summaries of both.

  4. I'd argue that because Kwan has a skillset that usually doesn't get absolutely HUGE contracts in FA, that an extension is still in-play for the Guards. I feel like a deal for 5 years around $15 million AAV this offseason could get it done. This would buy out 2 years of FA, and give him a large pay increase for the next couple years. Security for Kwan, and Guards should be able to make this $ work.

  5. Find it interesting that there seems to be so little trade talk regarding Guards and Reds considering they cohabitate a spring training facility and, obviously, their new manager was ours just a year ago!
Are there any compelling trade ideas to consider?
