The International signing allocation is of little importance to Sasaki, Wolfe and his entourage…Roki Sasaki will sign the biggest contract for a pitcher in MLB history, the minute after the initial minor league capped period is over with. Steve Cohen is the most likely to sign Roki to that long-term $40 mil ++ AAV deal

  10. I will say this is surprising. Sasaki has said he is looking for a team with good pitching development and the Giants certainly have that. Plus they're on the pacific coast so it's easy to travel to and from Japan (at least relative to other parts of the country), the Giants are willing to spend money to make their team better and they have new management and vision under Buster. I get there's a whole nobody wants to go to SF narrative rn in baseball but still, you'd figure he would have entertained them for a bit longer considering all the previous factors.

    Plus he's still in the mix with Toronto which has a similar problem with people seemingly not wanting to go there yet they don't have the the pitching development, vision, and geography SF has
