  1. Our offense has fallen off a cliff since the Trevors rejoined the team. Last 4 games, 5 goals. Less than 5% shooting on this road trip.

    We just look so much worse with them in the lineup right now. No surprise he was taken off Byfield’s line and QB ended up being the best player tonight.

    Feelings aside, the deadline is approaching. Have to start considering making some moves to help the offense cuz this is getting sad and really boring to watch again.

  5. It is insane how often this team just doesn’t step up in huge games or opportunities for the last few years. We have a chance to make a statement against the Oilers and we fucking squander it. So now we’ll likely have a poor road trip and watch the Oilers and Knights both win their next 5 games as we inch back down towards .500 over the next 30 days

    And for the millionth time and I know y’all don’t like hearing it, but fuck Fiala. Dude didn’t lose it for us but his job is to go out and win games. Glad some of you are finally opening your fuckin eyes to what’s happening.

    How has Kopitar been so horrible on offensive zone draws when we’re down a goal in the 3rd period

    Also if Blake doesn’t push for a right shot top-6 forward literally right away then he is oblivious, this team has possibly the worst offense in the league right now lol

  12. If there’s something this team needs at the deadline, it’s another forward. Unless Fiala, danault, and Moore find their groove, they gotta bring someone in.

  13. Over these past playoff fights I’ve REALLY grown to dislike Edmonton. Like I’em a all LA guy I dislike them more then the Angels and the Clippers like the dislike I have for this team has just blossomed into this pretty like hate flower.

  16. As much as I hate losing to these fucks, I honestly think we’re in much better shape than the other years we’ve played them. Few tweaks like getting Lewis off the ice and fixing the power play and I personally think we’re the better team. Call me crazy but I’m optimistic, especially when some players wake up and get their offense going

    Once again 5v5 we were good but lose due to special teams. Same shit over and over.

  19. PP has succeeded 2 times in the last 15 games and counting, ranking 29th and lower, i hope Jim addresses and improves the powerplay.

  20. Great tending, mostly great defense. Credit to edmonton for completely locking up the neutral zone in the 3rd. Not a fan of the shortened bench in this one… guys were clearly gassed in the latter half of the 3rd.

    Not sure why Laffy got benched other than him being generally cold, but I think Hiller needs to roll his lines a bit more. Lewis out there late was a choice, Tanner could have helped on the forecheck with the neutral zone so plugged up. Fiala had a fuckin brutal game, too. Danault and Moore, not much going.

    Should have had at least one in the 1st and Byfield pinged one off the post… not a horrible loss, but discouraging all the same considering the score. Gatta find some offense. GKG.

  25. it was the 2nd period hit from McDavid that rattled the Kings and resulted in a goal. he’s a dirty fucker and gets away with too much.

    This team is a first round exit again. We’ve gotten better in a lot of places but the steps backwards are negating it.

    Lewis retiring would bring some relief, but Fiala, Moore, and Danualt have regressed incredibly hard. We’ve got goalkeeping we can be excited about, QB, Laf, and Turc look good. Now we’ve gotta go back and un-break what wasn’t broke last season in 24 and 12. Feels like we’re on a treadmill.

  28. No need to panic guys, offense will come and our goaltending/defense is still stellar. Don’t blow this out of proportion just because we played the oilers. Literally a post away from a 1-1 game against arguably the best team in he league right now. Yes it sucks but sometimes it happens

  31. We need to acquire some consistent goal scoring at the deadline if we want to have a chance in April. I love our team this year, but tonight and Saturday’s game showed that the offense failing to show up, just like last year, is a real possibility

  35. Blake needs to really look at finding some scoring. This felt similiar to Sutter type hockey tonight. Goaltending and Defense is spot on, Kop is slowing down Kempe and company. Fiala is not going to score in this type of system. Doughty will add some help on the PP with his slapper. This team looks lethargic, I don’t necessarily agree with sitting Laferriere, my thoughts are Moore and Lewis being out helped us by letting the youth pull some weight Helenius, Thomas and Lee. Find a trade partner for Moore already, Danault has been disappointing to say the least.

  38. Our ability to make replacement level Stuart Skinner look like Dominic Hašek in his prime needs to be studied.

  39. Oilers fan here, just wanna say yall are way scarier this year than the last 3 years. You can tell this team is willing to trade chances with the oilers, and that’s their best chance at beating Edmonton. No more 1-3-1 is the best thing for my hockey enjoyment and worst thing for my mental health.

    I hope everyone who is near or impacted by the fires are safe. My thoughts and prayers are with everyone who are impacted, or knows someone impacted by the devastation. This is much bigger than any game.
