Patriots got rid of a man who won 6 super bowls,,steelers are all time great organization ownership is letting the fans down 8 yrs without a single playoff win ,pitiful ,just let the fans decide 90 percent or more wants him gone.
The situation overall is really complicated because of the QBs…what do they do with Wilson and Fields? Those guys aren't worth starting QB money, but 95% chance there won't be any upgrades available either. So who's going to want to coach this team? Who's going to improve the roster significantly?
People that say that sounds good aren’t Steelers fans. We want rings not one and done what are we talking about here
How many NFL head coaches survive long enough to go eight straight years with no playoff wins?
They won’t.
Not dominant enough
Please please fire him. STOP BEING SO NICE TO HIM IN THE PRESS. His offense has been awful for many years. 0-63 in the first quarter in 8 years of playoffs games OMG. They have the least creative offense in the NFL. Fire the entire offensive coaches
Fields should have never been taken out. He was 4-2 and improving. Benching Fields killed momentum. It was short-sighted, which is why the decision was challenged within the organization. The offense hadn't moved in a month with Wilson (4 games), and Fields should have been reinserted weeks ago. The Steelers are wasting time and talent.
These dudes (other than Dan) are clowns, lol. It’s called franchise limbo. You don’t want to be a middling .500 team who goes one and done in the playoffs every year. As a Steelers fan, I’m fully good with getting a new coach and going 3-14 the next few years. If it means we’re drafting and developing young talent for the future. Right now, we aren’t anywhere near being a legit contender. And we aren’t rebuilding. We’re just floating as an average team that beats bad teams and gets bullied by elite squads. No thanks.
Clean house, rebuild
It's the owners issue! Art II is an heir! He didn't build it. He didn't have the need to win? He inherited the Steelers legacy and family fortune. Heirs always act differently than the O.G. (The Chief)
No one knew who Mike Tomlin was…. you do your damndest to FIND THE NEXT GUY
Rooney needs to sit him down and let him know the team needs a change and it starts with him moving on. Doesnt matter who comes in after. A change is needed and it starts with Tomlin moving out.
If Tomlin was a white man the media would've ridiculed him out of Pittsburgh at least 6 years ago.
Sums up the national media when there is a pause before putting it that Mike needs to decide if he has the team and wants to continue…He needs to go based on his performances. He is not a Legendary Coach (other than in the eyes of the blinkered media). A winning season is not what its about – its about building and leading a team into AND through the playoffs. He is way to conservative and his plans really restrict what the Offensive Coordinator can use in a game situation. He’s inflexible – can’t adapt during a game. I’ve seen more than enough – time for change.
73-0 in the last 6 playoff games in first quarters. If he's such a, why does he get roasted buy every single team in the first quarter in the playoffs. Poor planning.
Don't forget Mike Tomlin lost in the playoffs to Tim Tebow and Blake Bortles. I love you Mike– but you're supposed to be a defensive minded coach?
As a Steelers fan, I'm fine with Mike staying aboard with one more year but this is a rebuilding year so trade players for draft picks Tomlin will finish the season with the losing record finally and we can all move on.
Steelers fans in the ‘80s knew the game had passed by Chuck Noll. After four rings, he went 10 seasons without one. 23 years he coached the Steelers before he finally “retired.”Tomlin needs to do the same.
Forget about the playoffs how about his judgment on just getting his players ready and making some very simple calls during the game. Be aggressive! Start blitzing more start taking more advantage of a tush push! Don't be so weak!
UrinatingTree brought me here 5 years ago
Cowher spent 15 years with the Steelers and Chuck Noll 23. Tomlin is up to 18. Tomlin has overstayed his welcome. He's now abusing the good will of the Rooneys. He owes the owners to tender his resignation and hand over to the "next man up."
ITS TIME…………..
We need an OC, our offense is basic at best… where we’ve been in draft position is huge, holding on to Big Ben too long, shazier injury was a major set back, a few huge untimely retirements, and we are still a top 14 team… every team should be competing for a championship but the reality is only 1 team wins. Lol that’s my rant 😂
“Fire Tomlin” lol
Sloppy Steelers FAIL
Cowher was 15 years old
No playoffs wins since 2015!!!! Not the STANDARD for the Steelers!
There are a lot of used car dealerships that would hire Mike Tomlin in a heartbeat.
Are the STEELERS holding on to TOMLIN..because the organization has a history of…holding on to coaches…like the H.R.dept…isn't prepared to do a search for a new coach
It’s time for the Rooneys to take control on the hires. Fire the DC and OC and don’t let Mike have input on it. Last time they did that they got Haley and set records on the offense
No one has done less with more than Coach T. He's wasted some prime Steeler teams that should've been in at least 2 more Super Bowls.
Tomlin has been coach longer than Bill Cowher. His early success was directly connected to the team he inherited. It's been just a repeat of mediocre seasons with inexplicable losses to bad teams every season. It's time to move on or we will have this for another decade
Tomlin and the Steelers can't quit each other. Guaranteed he's back next season for more of the same.
Tomlin is a fraud.
if the Ravens lost they would be saying the same thing about Harbaugh
Careful Dan don’t criticize Tomlin ESPN will call you racist
They’ll address it by giving him another extension.
He’s an absolute joke.
Go coach JV ball where you belong
Mike need, a young brain trust,; it's time 💡
The Steelers are in a "co-dependent relationship" with Mike Tomlin that is akin to a woman who is totally committed to a man who continues to disappoint her but she is so infatuated with him that she blindly believes in his promises to do better, and she is afraid to break up with him out of fear that he will find a new woman to date.
BEN JOHNSON. And we figured out details.🖤💛
I'm good either way but if they keep Tomlin wholesale changes have to be made. Schemes, practice schedule, draft philosophy etc…real updates real changes. Tomlin needs to be uncomfortable as he says he likes his players to be.
