[Breer] Per source, the Jets have requested to interview Packers defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley for their HC job. The Jersey native has four years of head coaching experience, at Boston College (2020-23), and led a Top 5 unit this year. Looks like that one happens end of this week.

29. I… I… I don’t know how to feel. On one hand, Hafley did a damned solid job in his first year and implementing a new scheme. Which is more praise than I’ve given collectively to the DC position since 2010. On the other hand, MLF’s Best Man is right here and as long as we don’t low-ball him they’ll be building bunk beds and doing Karate together in the garage all offseason.

39. I don’t want him to leave. As the late great Kobe Bryant famously said; “Job’s not finished.” Salah would probably be the second option which is still a reasonable hire but damn Hafley’s defense outplayed their on-paper talent.

40. I don’t want to look for someone else dang it. The only other option would be Salah. There’s a chance he finds something too. But if he does go, Salah better be the guy.
