Dak, a second, a fourth and next year’s first plus they eat the cap hit. If Jerry is willing to go the extra mile to get the Sanders family then the Titans should be ready to squeeze every last bit of juice from this trade.
No we want Parsons or Ceedee!
If we got Dak on a Russ Wilson type of deal, and loaded up on picks in the process to go back to 11 or 12, why wouldn’t we do that?
I still think the picks are the most important thing here anyway. This would also get us a shot at watching tolerable football for a couple years compared to what we are currently looking at.
I’m not against something like this but the compensation must be perfect
If Dallas were willing to give up a haul of draft picks AND Dak for next to no cap hit? I’d be on board. Dak is better than any of the potential FA qbs. Obviously it would be dependent on just how much draft capital, but let’s say it’s similar to what the bears got – player, 2 firsts, and 2 seconds (but because it’s from 12 and not 9) we get an extra 1st or 2nd in 2027? My hope is we could squeeze both out of them because of desperation. Sign me up
(as a refresher – future draft picks are typically valued at the current round plus how many years removed. So a 2027 first would have the valuation of a 2025 3rd)
If they want to sell the farm for the pick you take it 100 times out of 100.
Only two of the best 16 QBs in the NFL were picked #1 overall. A flurry of picks gives you the option to trade up for your guy in future drafts and you have resources to overhaul the roster if you can nail the drafts.
People are quick to forget we became contenders after trading the first overall pick and the QB that we “had” didn’t even take us there.
If they’re willing to include Dak at the expense of them eating the cap I’m for it but I don’t rate him at all and would prefer picks or Parsons personally.
There’s only two ways this will go:
1. We draft Shedeur, but he ends up not doing well for us.
2. We don’t draft Shedeur, and he ends up being great.
Bonus universe: after we draft him then trade him after a couple years, he ends up being great for Team Number 2.
I’m fine with Dak but I don’t want to ride the Levis train again when he inevitably gets injured
Before everyone on here says no, remember that the $104M in dead cap for the Cowboys is $104 million that doesn’t go on the Titans cap. When a player gets traded, part of their cap hit stays with their old team and part of their cap hit goes to their new team. That dead cap number is the amount staying with the Cowboys, so Dak’s contract is a lot more manageable for the Titans.
Love all these stories people are creating to get clicks. You think Jerruh is going to eat 104 million in dead money? Imagine how many times that 104 million would take him to the glory hole. He is an old cheap bastard who didn’t even want to give Mccarthy more than a 2 year deal. Don’t think Dak is coming to Nashville anytime soon.
I’d take Dak in a hot second. As long as the trade is their first and third this year and next year’s first. Move down and pick up capital along with your bridge qb
Yeah gives us Dak and 2 first.
1st overall pick for 2-3 years of a free franchise Quarterback? SIGN ME UP
Getting Dak on a similar deal as Pittsburgh got Russ would be the ideal “bridge” qb scenario while we build up the rest of the holes we have.

That’s the framework for our 1st round pick. If Dak gets involved it’s in addition to ^
This would be huge for our franchise especially if it’s this years first and next years from Dallas. Getting Dak from Dallas makes us an instant playoff or bubble team, and gives us a fairly cheap QB to hold us over while we search for a younger cheaper option. I also think he’s good enough to get a really good roster to the Super Bowl if everything falls perfectly. We’d also kick start a trove of picks to build the franchise around.
Don’t believe that account for a minute, biggest spreader of misinformation and made up sources on football twitter
Why do you not want this to happen? Bring stability to the QB position while gaining extra draft picks? That’s exactly what the franchise needs right now. That would be a win on all fronts.
I’d take DaK in a heartbeat on a good deal and pick haul. He is a top 10 QB whether you like him or not.
Holy cow. I brought up the idea of Jones trading Prescott and 3 firsts to the Titans a few days ago as something crazy that Jerruh might do. People were quick to remind me about Prescott’s no trade clause and insane dead cap hit. And here we are…
lol do iiiitt
Let’s assume there’s some validity to this rumor. I’m all for it honestly. I’m not a huge Dak fan or anything but it would be amazing to prey on Jerry and the Cowboys’ panic/desperation and get a decent QB + picks.
To dump $60M in cap per year? Yeah Jerry I bet you’d love that.
“Sportskeeda” LOL.
do it, Jerry. we’ll all thank you for it as we laugh at the Cowboys for 4-5 more seasons.
Jerry Jones is notorious for being a Penny-pincher and would never take on that egregious dead cap hit in a million years, especially not to get rid of “his guy.” But more importantly, Dak Prescott has a No-Trade Clause that he would never waive to be traded for any team, let alone the worst team in the league lol. This is nothing more than a pipe dream.
Dak has a no trade clause which means he’s more likely to be released like Russ was and he wouldn’t be part of the compensation package for the first. Also, the cowboys could trade for a top 5 but not 1oa pick and politic his fall in the draft by Deion threatining an Eli or Elway situation.
Also, don’t believe Deion. When the months leading to Burrow being drafted all the media said was “he should refuse to go there.”
If you can get Dak, their 1st, a future 1st, and some other picks…yeah you do that immediately.
Dak would immediately be the second best QB of the Titans era, we’d still have a high pick, and we’d be in a great position next year too if we need a new QB.
A potential trade I would be ecstatic about: Titans give 1st overall, 2025 2nd round, in exchange for Dak, 11 overall, 2026 1st round
Dak’s not a bad QB, definitely better than Levis. If there’s a way to load up on picks and get a decent price for him, why not?
Lmao this sub gets dumber each year
We’d be stupid not to take Dak if offered on a deal where they eat 105M in dead cap
