If he’s the guy, I wouldn’t hate it. In fact, I’d be kind of excited. Packers have a great draft history during his time. They built up a top 5 WR core in a span of 2 years via the draft. Packers have been great at scouting for QB talent.
I know he’s widely seen as Brinker’s boy but honestly, I’d appreciate some cohesion in the front office.
Sign me up!
Brinker’s buddy. I would be surprised if its not him.
He’s interviewing with Raiders and Jets too
I think he’s definitely top of the list. Did they even do a second interview with him?
Borgonzi and Sullivan are probably my top 2 at this point. Either one would likely be an upgrade over Ran, even though I didn’t really like firing him.
Here’s JES talking about his philosophy when it comes to building a team, it’s pretty much bang on Brinker’s description of what he wants [https://youtu.be/2KhF8phPrXA?t=291](https://youtu.be/2KhF8phPrXA?t=291)
Hopefully with the Titans
I think it’s been fairly obvious the entire time that he’s the guy
The Packers roster is quite solid. It’s just that Jordan Love isn’t the guy they need to take advantage of it. I can’t blame any organization for not having a great QB, because it’s just so difficult to find and get one.
Can he bring on Lafleur with him
Packer fan here who was recommended this post and wanted to say a couple of things after reading some comments:
1) JES didn’t pick JLo but I’m sure was influential for that pick for whatever that is worth to yall. He came up behind Gutey and every time Gute took a higher position JES was given the position that Gute just left this made them very close and respected one another. JES apparently only knows how to shoot straight and has been among the first and loudest voices calling out things in the front office whether that be personnel decisions or whatever. We as a whole Foster that environment but Gutey said JES embodies it the most.
2) people are picking apart some of the packers rosters short comings and pointing it out as a reason not to hire JES and all I will say to that is that JES grew up in this organization and I think he would bring the culture and structure with him and I would think from watching y’all’s franchise from afar that yall would be excited for stability and some logical professionalism from the FO. I know even Pats dynasty fans in the early 2010s could find things to nit pick about their org and make mountains out of mole hills so I know there is no pleasing some fans but it is interesting to see some negative comments about our org from some folks here.
3) I saw some comments about our WR room and particularly about JLo. Everyone has their hot takes on JLo and thinks we severely overpaid Everyone also thinks our WR is overrated as well both these things could be true (you can certainly find many packers fan that agree with this even if I personally do not) but I will say that while all our moves may not be grand slams or even triples we sure hit a shit ton of singles and doubles consistently. While many people would prefer an all in aggressive approach to go for triples and home runs hitting those singles and doubles every year at least ensures that we usually make the playoffs and have a reasonable chance of a deep run more often than not. I know not everyone cares for consistency but as someone who’s college team routinely lets them down by October every year having a pro team that consistently finishes in the top 10 teams in the league with a shot to win it all is valuable beyond words because my falls and winters are filled with great memories of great games.
Whoever yall hire I hope they help turn things around because I have always liked y’all’s franchise since yall gave tannehill a shot.
