[Levitt] It’s now been more than 3 hours since we heard the initial Padres/Sasaki rumblings this morning…and meanwhile, none of the usual news breakers have said a word on it. I’d keep a little faith until you see more news break. Just my opinion.

  1. Always gotta wait for the jeff passan tweet. That max scherzer to the padres tweet still gives me nightmares lmfao

  2. It’d be one thing if the rumor was just that he was close with the dodgers, but between that AND the “Padres appear out” rumor I think there is enough smoke for us to move on from this portion of the offseason as Padre fans. Onto finding out who we are trading away and who our last two starters are. Oh and LF.

  3. The timeline of them signing other high priced amateurs along with Blue Jays trading for an extra $2M doesn’t make sense for Sasaki to Padres.

  4. Padres fans when good news comes out: “dont believe it until he signs”

Padres fans when bad news comes out: “this was obvious, its so over. Hindsight he was always signing with the dodgers”

  5. The thing that threw me off was that MLB Network was reporting on it. But, I mean… Sammy got a point. Ok, back to keeping the faith. 🙏🏽

  6. We all know it’s LA. the theatrics are dumb. The dodgers can literally defer every dollar until 2067, and the MLB won’t stop them. It’s a race that the padres are trying to catch up on against a team that it was made for. Fuck the dodgers and their shit ass stadium

  7. I went thru all 7 stages in that 3 hours. You saying you want me to do it all over again? No thanks.

  8. Ignore the tweets. Look at actions, not words.

The Blue Jays are actually moving money around. They are giving up assets to fit Sasaki. They know something we don’t.

  9. The only hope is that the sources heard the Padres are planning to sign their main guys and they then assumed they were out on Sasaki. When in reality AJ is trying to sign the top guys AND Sasaki.

Either way, I’ve already accepted defeat and will not get my hopes up.

  10. whoever wants signs w the dodgers is a certified coward who doesn’t want to work and rather wants the easy path to a championship.

  11. This whole show has been so annoying. Just sign with the dodgers and let’s stop pretending. I have not jumped on this wagon once as to not be disappointed

  12. I think if anything, Roki might have seen the entire baseball world, less Doyers fans, clap back at his long, drawn out process that ultimately lead to the Dodgers and, maybe, he reconsiders where he signs. And I have a hard time believing Toronto would be a viable destination for him. So, yeah, I’m going to keep the faith. It’s what Padres fans are supposed to do after all. (If it ultimately doesn’t happen, I’ll cry silently over a few beers, though.)

  13. can y’all not at least admit that something is off about this? No one has come in to confirm his tweet, usually there would already be new information leaking fron the Padres fron office but there’s nothing. According to him he had “multiple sources” that somehow have not given Passan or anyone else information. I’m not saying that Sasaki is signing with us I’m just saying that I won’t 100 % believe it until we use our international pool money or someone confirms with report with new accounts.
