How has no one yet said… ‘Minter. Is. Coming’ ?
Good deal. Anything that helps the pen is a win for us. Not a massive commitment either
Nice addition !
Reliable lefty who’s entering his age 31 season. A $11M AAV is solid
2.62 ERA in 34.1 IP last season
9.2 K/9 to a 2.9 BB/9
Over the last four seasons, 2021-2024:
3.05 ERA in 221.1 IP
10.9 K/9 to a 2.7 BB/9
Diaz, Nunez, Garrett, SRF, Minter, & Butto is a solid six in the BP
Hope this is in addition to Tanner Scott?
Braves are taking some body shots this offseason.
Good signing – 2 years is the sweetspot for bullpen help! Does this mean no Tanner Scott?
Would love if we could get Scott too. That would be a nasty pair of lefties.
Why do we give everyone an opt out after every season? Its so frustrating
Love this for the pen
Great move
Great contract
Stearns has saved my life
What am I supposed to do with all this AJ Minter dislike I have?
Physical is important as he is coming off season ending hip surgery.
I wouldn’t mind adding one more major league-quality left hander for the pen – it feels like we just always end up with a single lefty, which means they either get way overworked or they suck and it throws the pen out of whack. Danny Young had his moments last year but we can’t reasonably rely on him to be a solid option for a full season yet
Barves fans are in knots right now. For this reason alone this is an elite signing that has already paid dividends.
Oh no
Dream scenario – sproat comes up in august and gets the #4 spot. We go into the playoffs with
Senga
Manaea
Peterson
Sproat
and then have a murderers row in the pen of
Holmes
Minter
Diaz
With Nunez, Montas, Garret, Butto as options.
Minter, huh? Okay….
Nic
This is a great pickup
Minter and Winker on the same team
Great signing. Add one more arm.
Now sign Pete anyway 😂
Given that Danny Young is our only lefty out of the pen (am I correct here?) this seems like an amazing signing.
Get Minter up and moving around
Let Stearns cook.
Another Stearns masterclass. Why overpay for Scott when Minter has basically put up similar production/value over the past 3 years.
get minter up and moving around
Still need one solid reliever imo.
Big time move …. I know he coming off surgery but dude is consistent …
if we get back Iglesias and another reliever we are better than last season. love this move.
i know we’re all clamoring for another big bat but we have to keep in mind next offseason and the youth we have here already. if they trust in Ronny and Acuna’s bats then i trust that decision.
Stearns is cooking
Fantastic signing. There were a lot of arguments for why our bullpen may have been fine without another big arm, but personally I don’t like the word “may” in that sentence. This turns our bullpen into much less of a question mark and much more of an asset.
I think we have room for one more mid to top reliever. I prefer Stanek for the vibes.
Right now I have canning or some minor league deal as our 7th man out of the pen. 8th man will be long reliever/6th starter which I have Blackburn down as. Preferably Blackburn and canning are fighting for the 8th spot.
This is a good signing. He’s effective when healthy and is left handed. We’ve had trouble with finding that in the past. Now we do need to address the offense.
Hope he get back to 2023 form. If so, 8/9th innings are locked down.
Good signing even though he might of signed for slightly less after coming off hip surgery
Awesome signing.. give me 1 year contract with Dave Robertson or Ryne Stanek and will be sooo happy.
Diaz
Minter
Stanek or Robertson
Nunez
Garrett
SRF
Butto
Yay an ex Brave who already won a WS with them and is coming off an injury, next you are going to tell me the Mets are going to be cheap and not sign the heart and soul of this team (Alonso), what a boring and soulless disaster the Mets are going to be

Now add Robertson and make this pen truly elite.
