Bullpen pitching is probably the most difficult and trickiest issue to deal with for any MLB team, other than perhaps the closer spot if the team has an established one. Quite often, we see a reliever who had a good season or two suddenly become ineffective or injured. Having said this, I like this signing because Minter has a pretty long track record of consistently reliable work and durability. Plus, he's a left-hander, a commodity that's always harder to come by. Let's hope that he continues to build on his reliability and stays healthy.
