2nd call wasn't Uecker's. That was Dwayne Moseley's.
The man had me in tears watching the Major League movies ππ
One of the all-time greatest announcers/broadcasters π€ποΈπ£οΈ. RIP Bob Uecker π’πππΌ.
Not one just a bit outside.
The 2nd call wasnβt Uecker, but shouldβve been
RIP Mr Baseball, you will be missed.

Bob is irreplaceable
Anyone else get to the end and say "just a few more, please?"

Arg. For the last time, the call at 0:40 is NOT Uecker. I see this in highlights all the time. Why it keeps getting posted as Uecker is beyond me. It's either Pat Hughes or Duane Mosely. Anyone with ears can tell. But thanks for all the others!
Good memories!
That throw by Charlie Moore is one of the greatest throws I have ever seen. When they do YT videos of 'greatest throws ever' it is NOT included. I was watching the game live when it happened. Something noticed then and still today, Reggie NEVER argued the call. He got up, dusted himself off and walked to the dugout. Reggie argued a lot of calls he thought were wrong. He did not argue the call on this one. He knew he was out.
One of the all time great characters in MLB history that was Bob Uecker. Rest in peace, paradise and heaven, Mr. Baseball.
I could listen to this all day. Ben listening to Bob for 5 decades. He could keep your interest in the game even when the Brewers were losing. He seems like one of the family. Back when the games could be watched on antenna tv we would turn the sound down and get the game on the radio so we could listen to Uke. Can't do that now with the time delay on satellite. One of a kind for sure.
My god he was dirty when the mics were off. Such a talented man.
