  1. I would use the remaining cash to sign Alonso, trade Busch in a package for pitching, and look for a back end reliever. I'm assuming Tucker walks after one year. I know this will NEVER happen, but it's a thought. They will probably just bring in Estavez or Finnegan and sign a bench piece.

  2. Both Nico and Dansby playing with those injuries is either misplaced leadership or selfishness. They were out of it last year and now Nico is going to miss games at the beginning of the year when the games still matter? That's clownish.

  3. Hoerner is almost certainly missing time, 6 month recovery and he got it mid October and that’s without hitting/fielding. I think Workman gets ABs against righties and Shaw will play 2B with Vazquez and Brujan mixing in until Nico is ready

  4. I don't think they need another 2nd baseman. They have ootions that would be fine until Nico returns. What they need is somebody who can play 1st base behind Busch. A RH bat.
