and who is to say, what would prevent them from also adding Tanner Scott, why not, still wouldn't add up to all they'd have to pay Pete – it's always great to see the Mets weaken the Braves yea.

Scott was worth every cent he was asking for but now we settle for Minter? We let Pete go but settle for a guy like Winker! I guess we might as well see if Armondo Benetiz will give us the hometown discount to help out the bullpen next! Dont give me the nonsense about Stearns grabbin Soto either, it was Uncle Steve who made Stearns not blow another non signing!!!
With the pitching staff that we have and with a bit of a weaker lineup we need another lockdown arm in the bullpen

God how did some mets fans become so spoiled? You dont need to sign every single top name in FA. Look at the dodgers, the complimentary pieces destroyed us in the playoffs, not the superstars. Get pieces that get us closer every single year. For once, i would like to be a top team every single year instead of having to reset every other one. Everyone wants to trade top prospects for vlad, pay pete, get bregman, get scott. What are we doin? lol
Stearns is managing payroll flexibility so that in 2027, the mets arent running around with a $500M payroll with half these signings performing like dogshit. Chill tf out.
