  4. Aaron Rogers? Well, I mean at this point why not enjoy some next level, made for TV drama?
    I was born in 80 and have been a Steelers fan well I guess since then. My dad took me to Three Rivers as a kid. I waited till I was 25 years old for my first Super Bowl. I remember the late 80s and all the 90s etcā€¦ā€¦
    I guess Iā€™ve resolved it could be another 25 years until we do it again.

  7. Russ throws a better ball than fields but he hangs onto it way too often. Iā€™d give fields the chance because he has the same issue but he has the ability to make plays with his legs too

  26. Didnā€™t Deke think Fields wasnā€™t good and not want him before we picked him up? I really really want Fields to be the long term guy but Iā€™ve got to see more. Hope we can sign him to a short deal. One thing I havenā€™t seen from Fields is being clutch. Hope he develops into a more consistent field general to round out his game. He certainly has all the elite physical tools but thatā€™s not everything. Hope team/coach stability is all he needs to take the next step.

  29. Russ definitely didnā€™t play to his potential in my opinion but i donā€™t know if itā€™s all on him the offensive line is garbage again but im just a truck driver what do I know lol.

  30. I wanted to see Russ play, and he started out strong, but fissled in the stretch. Yes, the oline was bad and our WR room sucks, but he is the vet expected to elevate the team. I don't think he did enough for a long term deal. Let's see what JF can do with a fill season. Get JF into a VR training program and hopefully he can develop better reads. If not, 2026 QB 1st rd pick with draft held in Pittsburgh.

  34. Russ was the best QB play we've had since probably 2016 timeframe. If Russ has no market as you eluded to, we should be able to sign him super cheap. Same with Fields. Khan let's them both test the water and brings one of them back on the cheap. After all they have the highest paid underperforming D.

  36. Dude you are totally wrong. Justin will probably go 500 or more. How can Russell succeed if he has no playmakers. Pickens were hurt, who did they have as a prime target, no one? Our defense allowed all of those tens to score verily easily. Russell is a way better QB than Fields. You will see and don't even trip when your dumb ideas back fire!

  38. I been a Steeler Fan since the 70's all of the past Steelers team had great defense n running game n Big Ben, and at least 2 or more receiving targets. Ya cannot put that on Russell. If he had 2 good receivers with Pickens like Pat and another good receiver. If our defense cannot stop nobody how is that on the offense. You are acting desperate n Impatient. There are no better QB to sign point blank period! You are wrong dude.

  39. I think Russ suffered from the line not being good and the Run game regressing. The Defense also laid down and didnā€™t help him out as much as they did Fields early. We didnā€™t score many points early in the season with Fields. Fieldsā€™ athleticism helped defenses not key on the running backs as much which was great but is Tomlin going to use that as his ā€œplanā€ to improve the line rather than really improve it? Russ and the offense didnā€™t score more than 17 down the stretch but 17 was enough by Fields to win some of those early games. Are the Russ 3 and outs what killed the D or terrible game plans by the D? Probably both. I still feel like weā€™re in purgatory due to the coaches and the big ? at QB.

  45. Yeah we're tired of the bridge QB's, we already got plenty of bridges in Pittsburgh. Yes it is a shame because Russ is a likable guy, I believe I can speak for most people here in Pittsburgh that we wanted him to be the guy, but unfortunately we can't control the way he plays. And yeah his game wasn't on point so he tried to work with the only thing he had to offer, at that point was his leadership skills, notice how he never spoke a bad word about the team, you always talked about how he believed in the players how he believed in the game plan and he was so positive all the time because that's all he had to work with. Anyone who thinks that he wasn't terrible, go ahead and run those 5 games back, pay attention to what Russ does solely. He was making extremely poor decisions in the most crucial points of the game, and doesn't make sense with a 14-year veteran who's been to two Super Bowls. He was given the respect he was given many chances with Superior franchises, he got more chances than a lot of QB'S would have gotten

That guy is totally all about himself , he's smug, he's arrogant, and he's 6 years older than Russ, why would we do away with Russ and then go and sign a quarterback who's older and injury-prone? If Aaron Rodgers comes to Pittsburgh… it'll be a curse

  47. For his first year as Steelers QB, we got to playoffs. Not bad. He can do better? He won a sb and I still believe he can win one but we need to be elite at all phases of the game and rn we arent.

  49. Fields can be good here. Get garrett wilson from the jets who wants out. Reunite him with his college qb. Look at burrow and chase. Improve the Oline in the draft and fields spread the ball out more. They need to involve darnell washington aside from just blocking. He takes 5 guys to tackle. He's 6'9 285 and can hurdle guys. You get him the ball and OFTEN. He's a matchup nightmare use him in the red zone. That's fields game check downs run game and occasionally long ball to wilson pickens austin. He can also escape the pocket and take off.
