  3. Skinner too high too low nothing in the middle. Yes he got EDM to game 7. They will need a 1b goalie.

    Playoffs has to be steady and good for 2 months. Can't have that bad week in van series . Added 2 more games to the wear and tear on the team that didn't to be. Or a bad game 3 against Florida

  5. I like Skinner but he is not consistent enough to be a true #1 goaltender. His save percentage when the opponents are held to less than 20 shots must be abysmal. Flush this one and beat Vancouver on Thursday.

You understand 3 goals, 8 shots. You should be embarrassing coach that goalie, Thomas, that's your game. Saver, that's how you win games and smart.   14. So we are ok with stu having a .899 save % on a “cup contender” but when Talbot had the same % on a shittier team with lucic and Kassian on the top 6 everyone was blaming him. Even dubnyk on a DOD team had better stats than stu lmao

I’m one angry pissed off OILERS FAN…that was one disappointing performance from the OILERS …without McDAVID in the lineup not only does their offense suck but their defense went to hell as well. Their Powerplay is non functional without McDAVID. Nurse, KULAK AND BOUCH SUCKED tonight. BOUCH was the worst. The guy almost injured 2 of our top players with his ridiculous BOUCH bomb that goes nowhere. It’s like SLAPSHOT THE MOVIE with the HANSON BROTHERS. He’s inept. Who’s stupid decision was it to have BOUCH chug up the zone then dish back to LEON for the powerplay. Did LEON think he was McDAVID there. He’s a great hockey player but not McDAVID. McDAVID speeds up the zone opens the ice ( parts the ice like Moses) and setup LEON DRAISAITL ETC..he makes our offense work., BOUCH needs a change of scenery..he is awful with the puck and without. Thanks BETTMAN AND THE LEAGUE for ruining my game and evening. Also with 2:30 minutes left and you then have a powerplay , 6 on 4 ever heard of crashing the net or putting Corey Perry in front of the goalie. Their goalie wasn’t that great. Heck I doubt WASHINGTON even wins the division yet alone go to the finals. The EAST IS A TOSS UP. I hate it when the announcers say now the OILERS have a chance at the division 1st place in 5 years. How about just winning the game. The division means zero when playoffs come. Look at FLORIDA last year. 😭😭😭🤬🤬🤬🤬

  17. Bouchard in a pressure contract year is really showing the team all of his weaknesses. Showed it again tonight. Dazzled everyone with his point production last year. Lots of second assists from passing it up from our zone or on the PP. His play in the neutral zone and our zone is just atrocious and costing us. Bouchard rant over.

  18. with a mediocre goalie Skinner who allows 3 goals out of 14 shots with SV=0.786 and a mediocre defense like Bouchard (-1) the Oilers should score more than 2 goals with or without McDi)) but the Oilers also have a mediocre coach Knob who cannot use players in the most efficient way

  19. I keep saying and get tones of bash back, that Skinner is not a Stanley Cup goaltender. Him and Bouchard are liabilities, no matter how much Oilnation is supporting Skinner! And it is very annoying how much penalties we 'give'. I don't like our trainer team either, defense is repeating the same mistakes over and over.

Every team at this point of the season looks to improve their lineup, Edmonton has chosen to improve their defence with a player that hasn’t played an nhl game in over four hundred days, at a cost of one million, imo that’s not improving anything. On the other hand goaltending seems to be the weakest position on the team, imo neither goalie has been able to get the confidence of the team to play with the lead it’s like they try to play the game plan, but all of a sudden they find themselves behind and having to open up and push hard and that creates more chances for the other team. Bring on a third goalie like a Gibson or Quick, or stay with Skinner and Packard or risk going out in the first round of the playoffs because of poor goaltending.

  22. Bouchard playing like a soft little fluff and nurse can’t stay in position well enough not to take penalties. Stu with a patented softy to cost us the game. This game was painful to watch with all the giveaways and weak efforts
