Utah Hockey Club facing major legal hurdle to get desired team name

Good. Yeti is a trash name and a lazy, unoriginal copy of the Avs’ history. They still produce and sell official team gear with a yeti footprint on it. It also has absolutely nothing to do with Utah. We can and should be unique.

I hate the name. Utah Yeti is dumb, and Colorado already thinks we’re their weird little brother. I’d hate to give them even more ammo.

It’s weird. On Reddit, Mammoth seems more popular. On Instagram and YouTube, Outlaws is more popular. Which one is more accurate?
Screw all these names. Utah Swarm is the way to go. Beehive state. The arena canbe called The Hive. It fits. Make it happen.

This feels like one of those situations where Reddit just does not reflect real life. Seems pretty obvious that Yeti won the fan voting and probably by a fairly significant margin. Weird dissonance in play here.

The only right answers aren’t being considered, but I’m glad it’s not yeti and I’m good either way with the current names. Out of the shit choices we were dealt Mammoth and Outlaws are the best.
