‘09 CJ is arguably the greatest running back season of all time. Argue with a wall, this man was POSSESSED

Let’s just take a moment and appreciate how much of a freak CJ2K was

  1. CJ2K was fun but infuriating to watch at times. For every one of those highlight runs there would be about 5 plays he got wrapped up behind the LoS for trying to turn every play into a home run instead of taking what was there for the 3-5 yard gain

  2. We drafted him while I was in college and my roommate was a Colts fan. I’ll never forget watching one of his first long runs and my buddy muttering, “Dude, fuck Chris Johnson and his 100 mph legs.” 😂 CJ2k was goated early in my book for that comment alone 😂

  3. I wish he had a longer Career. Could you imagine if he got to Run with Henry?

Now that I think about it Titans have been blessed with Running Backs

  4. Imagine if he had a more creative offensive mind behind him. He got that 2K in the mud.

  5. His pre season TD run against St. Louis is the fastest I’ve ever seen an NFL RB look. Almost looks fake lol

  6. This sub has been kind of negative these last few months. I think we all need to remember why we’re fans. I’m not a fan because of the front office. I don’t watch these games because of the GM or whoever Amy has hired recently. I’m a fan of this team because of the players.

I remember watching CJ in 2009 and my 13 year old mind was convinced this dude was a superhero. I’ve been a fan of this team ever since man. That motherfucker was an athletic anomaly. Wish he had a longer career, but damn was he fucking amazing to watch.

  7. I don’t know the last time we have had a player with this much aura in Tennessee. Probably not since him.

And while I think Henry definitely has aura, it’s not flashy and in your face aura, it’s “ima run you the fuck over” aura.

Another side note, it’s criminal that he’s not in the ring of honor.

  8. There is an interview where Ray Lewis stated he has never bought a ticket to an NFL game. But that Chris Johnson was the only player he would pay to watch.

  9. My favorite player ever to watch. i always compared him to watching water flow. Easily my favorite RB ever. I hated that we sucked with him. He was doing work in a great era for RBs and even though I was a titans fan, part of me always wished hed left earlier, when he still had top tier speed. Imagine how good he would’ve looked in a complete offense that actually opened up gaps for him. He should’ve went to Denver with Peyton Manning. Sheesh. Love CJ2k always. One of the most underrated RBs in history. Fastest player in history.

  10. Even though we’ve never won the big one, this franchise has always had a lot of talented players.

  11. He also was pretty exceptional as a pass blocker, if I remember right. Wish he hadn’t been dinged up in that playoff game v the Ravens.

  12. He was so fun to watch. During his 2k yard season, I remember there were certain plays where he would hit the hole so fast that you could confidently yell “gone!” before he even made it to the secondary
