  1. So, JF2 is not polished. But he is FAR BETTER than the narratives and there are plenty of stats that prove that. He was more accurate than Russell with the Same WRs getting less separation. He had a better completion percentage. He is more mobile and helps your run game . He was far better in the RZ, and he is actually really good on the deep ball. Ppl like to forget that the bears are the bears. I am sure that you would know DK that the first thing that JF2 did when he got here was change his feet. That was because Getsy flipped them to be more like AARON ROGERS. Then he had him in the pistol and gun alot on long developing routes which is why his drop backs and feet were so bad. His feet were far better this year. We have seen Hurts , Daniels, Jackson, Allen, Mahomes, all make big plays in big games due to mobility. Hurts is not a better passer than JF2. He has 2 number 1s. Daniels is a rookie. I have watched several former NFL qbs break down Justin tape: Jenkins, Chase Daniels, Trent Dilfer, Kurt Warner, Dan orvlosky, and Jt Osullivan. None have said he sucked, is a bust, cant do it or anything like the narrative. JT O sullivan has movie length tape on his channel qb school that has him breaking down Justin and he would tell you that justin was in a bad scheme with bad players and was getting better this year with accuracy and reads. He still needs to hit the deep concepts and throw the 1 on 1s but he was doing that b4 GP started to crash OUT. Remember he had to be load managed while Justin was the qb. If Justin hits a few 1on 1s, deep or deep/intermediate concepts he would have the same stats as lamar. he averages 19/27 for 183 this years and was near 50 yds rushing a game. two big plays of 20 or more and he is 242 pyds a game. thats league ave. 50 yds a game is 850 which is what his ave rushigng stats are per year.
Now, I will listen to your video.

Also, I would take JF2 as my franchise qb for nearly every team not in the playoffs. or the bengals.

  2. Really.i wouldn't have any problem with justin.where the problem lies is Tomlin and gang will ruin any QBs career.now if Justin doesn't care about that and just wants payed.then he can be the marter r for this crumbling franchise.

  3. I love Fields and am 100% rooting for him. Thanks for the stats to back it up. Appreciate your logical approach to his assessment. He could be a gift the Steelers don’t deserve.

  4. It's simple if he had a good coach, that would get him a QB coach , good OC, n a better o line. he'll be 👌. Bruce arians worked n spent time with Ben,Ben loved him, I never saw Haley,Faulkner, Canada or smith with any QB. Of course he's will need another wr or to. Plus he comes cheap, that's right up managements n Tomlin alley.the to games he lost against colts n Dallas was on the defense not fields

  5. I have no faith that this staff will maximize him, or any other QB. He has a unique skill set. A good coordinator molds the scheme around his player’s talent. We don’t have that. Tomlin will just insist on minimizing his fears and toting playoff failures for another year…

  6. All year while most people were asking about Harris’ 5th year opinion I was screaming about Fields’ 5th year option saying we have no one signed at QB for next year

  7. I hope we roll with Fields personally. I didn’t want us to bench him for Russ and I stood by that even when Russ was winning. I understand if other people feel differently, but I don’t want to see him leave without at least a full year to see what he can do how much he can grow.

  8. Fields throwing to DJ Moore in Chicago was awesome. Id be okay with Fields if the Steelers get the Oline situated and grab 2 extra decent WRs.

Would Russ benefit from that same fortification? Sure, but he lacks the running ability that Fields has. I think Fields is at worst a bridge QB for a few years.

I want to be excited about this team come August/September. I really hope they enact change.

  9. 8:55 – If you think Juju is a more successful WR than Diontae Johnson or George Pickens, you are a hater and/or you don't know ball. No other way to say it. For all his warts, the production DJ gave us as a third round pick was INCREDIBLE value consistently over the course of years and the same could be said for George Pickens. Juju had one exceptional year as the #2 behind arguably the best WR in the league in AB, but his production otherwise does not stand out compared to George or DJ.

Whether you "Count them" or not has no bearing on the reality, and the reality is these are both dynamic players who are at least as good as Juju was.

  10. i think that sentiment you shared about fields at the beginning “last man last curtain” comes from a general feeling that the team can’t develop players properly

  11. If you want to see how Fields can throw the ball look at his last year with the Bears when he got DJ Moore. A real receiver that was not a headcase and played EVER time he was on the field.

  12. Fields could have easily been 6-0 as the starter this year if it weren't for the defense not showing up against the Colts and then imploding on that last drive against the Cowboys where Dak drove it right down the field and getting the game-winning touchdown. I'm fine with them bringing back Fields and seeing what he's capable of doing as the full-time starter.

  13. Why should anyone forget his time at Chicago? We can’t just absolve all accountability because he played for the Bears. There were plenty of areas where he could have progressed and didn’t. Yall yell out his successes and whisper his failures. Why point out one good game amongst 5 other mediocre games? Do you really think this dude is gonna take us to the Super Bowl? You say that he’s getting better which is admitting that he needs work. And as a 4th yr qb why would we waste time on him? Stop treating him like he’s a rookie.

  14. Great point DK been w you on Fields since Tomlin switched. Convinced when I watch a tape breakdown of a guy who broke down all his Chicago tape and said whoa never seen that from Fields before 😮 Here We Go 🖤💛

  15. Keep him, start him, he brings a whole other energy Russ didn't. And with not really knowing how the O-line will shake out next season, we need his mobility and speed. Russ had some great moments, but he doesn't fit the modern QB profile. We can also count on the offense overall not being super exciting and Justin can improvise and gain yardage.

  16. The reason people perceive the Steelers as being good at drafting receivers is Ben Roethlisberger. He made a lot of average receivers look better than they were. That perception has carried over from his better days.

  17. My only problem with Fields is he hasn't shown poise in the pocket, ever. He goes first read, then run. Maybe second read, but he has run on his mind all the time. He's no slouch, but you can't just run or you might as well put Warren at Qb

  18. Dk, love your daily shots! Okay, seriously, the only con people have on fields is he can’t read/throw like an elite qb. What did Steelers fans say about Lamar for the first couple years of his career? He couldn’t throw and now he’s an elite passer and still has the legs. Why can’t we continue to develop fields passing game?! Let’s go get a defensive tackle and wr in the first two rounds and see what we can do.

  19. Yes, DK that’s what I am talking about. Thank you for telling the world and speaking on it. and Mike T is going to write the ship and we’re gonna deep in the post season. I’m like Emerald I guarantee with a better offensive line production our in house receivers running routes.

  20. DK, what if they have not fired TA because they value his work ethic and mind for the game but are feeling out the market behind the scenes and would keep Austin on in a lesser position? Am I crazy? Has anyone ever been demoted like that and stayed with a team?

  21. Yeah. No. Not buying it. He had one good game but the other was still not good with him under center but then immediately came alive with Wilson the following week. His statistics aren't much different than Kenny Pickett and he was a difference maker in only one of his games. Maybe he could develop but he needs an offense built like the Ravens. How many franchise quarterbacks can you name that took 5 years to develop into a franchise quarterback?
