Edgerrin Cooper didn’t even make it as a finalist for Defensive Rookie of The Year

  1. He missed a good chunk of the year. He was great when he was out there but you typically don’t get awards or nominated for them if you miss a decent part of the season.

  2. The early season limited snap count and then injury basically kept him out.  If he were full time from the start, I am convinced he makes this list.

  3. That makes sense. He didn’t really deserve to be a finalist over any of these people based on the amount he played. He looks really good and like a potential future star, but this isn’t a redraft. It’s an award for what players accomplished this year.

  4. Eagles just completely revamping their secondary with two draft picks… Not trying to be a hater but damn it’s frustrating to see another team with a similar draft position get so much production in the secondary from their rookie class.

  5. Damn. Maybe Jordan Morgan is going to be good but considering how hurt our secondary was this year, that dejean pick hurts.

  6. The white boi corner seriously got it? That’s crazy I remember doing mock drafts with his name coming up a lot. Still happy with Bullard and cooper. Hopefully Jordan Morgan steps up big

  7. He didn’t get enough playtime, for whatever reason McDuffie was getting the snaps over him and he (McDuffie) ranks in bottom 10 for pretty much everything passing, TD’s allowed, QBR, completion %, YAC, in other words Cooper should’ve been #1 for snaps in run or pass.
This is Hafley’s weakness so far, it’ll change & he’s fitting some guys we had

  8. That’s kind of crazy considering he got a vote for the All Pro team! Jared Verse deserves the award.

Quinyon Mitchell is good, but didn’t make as big of an impact as Verse.

Cooper DeJean is overrated. I enjoyed watching Josh Jacobs flattening him multiple times vs. the Eagles in the playoff game.

I don’t know enough about Braden Fiske to have an opinion. He had 8.5 sacks so I guess he deserves it.

I haven’t heard Chop Robinson’s name since the draft, so I looked up his stats and he had 6 sacks, but Cooper definitely deserved it over him. Cooper had 3.5 sacks of his own and dominated in every other category.

  9. He only played like 42% of defensive snaps or something. His impact was undeniable but I get why he wasn’t voted in

  10. The games that I watched Cooper DeJean – he dropped a game clinching INT against the Rams in the playoffs and got absolutely destroyed by Josh Jacobs. He had 0 interceptions on the season.

    I dont understand the hype…

  11. Lol, most of these guys were projected to the Packers last draft. Gutey hopefully hit on Cooper but has a lot of work to do to repair corner this offseason – tough, because literally all the top corners fell to them in the draft last year. He’s gotta be kicking himself.

  12. Cooper DeJean is the new TJ Watt. Maybe not quite that bad.. but I wanted him to be a Packer, was surprised he fell to the 2nd, and looks as good as promised.

  13. Tyler Nubin is another notable snub. He almost had 100 tackles in the 13 games he played and wasn’t a starter at the beginning of the season. He was no Xavier McKinney in year one but he played pretty darn well in filling some of that loss.

  14. Rams really nailed the Fisk and Verse picks. I love Edgerrin Cooper and wouldn’t trade him. But man, those two did have a hell of a season.
