I just watched this video of Cam Ward and Shedeur Sanders training together, and wow, the contrast between the two is impossible to ignore. Cam’s focus, leadership, and body language are on another level—he’s clearly locked in and carries himself like someone who’s chasing greatness. I really liked how he mentioned wanting to win a Super Bowl; it shows his mindset and maturity.

On the flip side, Shedeur gave off a completely different vibe. He came across as a bit arrogant, like a spoiled rich kid who’s not as humble as you’d want in a leader. There was even a part where he was doing a drill incorrectly, and instead of correcting himself, he seemed a little too casual about it. To me, that’s a massive red flag.

When you combine this with what we’ve seen on film, it’s hard to make a case for these two being on the same level. Cam Ward is just miles ahead in every way. Thoughts? Am I reading too much into this?

  1. That is a big leap. I honestly can’t see anything else besides two QBs saying they are generational.

  2. Yall really hate guys with confidence and a little arrogance. Couldn’t care less about his personality only what he does on the field.

  3. i think this and the video floating around with cam talking about taking a pay cut to get a better team around him kind of sells him as pro better. he reminds me of stroud. just show up and is business. sanders may be better for the system callahan is running right now but ward may be a qb that is the system. based on that, i think you have to draft the best prospect. i think its ward or carter for the no. 1 pick. Hunter is an elite athlete but not elite at either position he plays.

i will admit i’m wrong about ward being levis.

  4. Brinker already clearly said we’re trading the #1 pick to the jags for Lawrence….. He intends to use it on a generational talent, of which there are none in the draft, and Lawrence had that label his entire draft process, and Lawrence is the best case QB situation for us considering the dogshit draft potential and the dogshit free agent market

  5. Did we watch the same video?

    >Am I reading too much into this

    Yes.

(I think Ward is the right pick)

  6. I watched the same video and completely disagree with your assessment of Shedeur. I was impressed with both of them equally. I couldn’t find anything negative to pick out.

  7. Cam is who I’d draft if I had any say in the matter. He’s gotten consistently better every season with very little help. He’s confident and handles pressure well, which is the opposite of Levis. I think it’s pretty obvious Cam is going to put the work in that is needed to progress in the NFL.

I’ve seen where some have him placed as just as good a prospect is Bo Nix last year, and you saw how he changed that franchise seemingly overnight. If it’s a player you believe in, you take them. If it’s someone that can be your starter at the most important position in the NFL, you take them.

Whether we pick him or not, I’m going to trust their process as professionals. However, historically has a bad habit of skipping on players that end up being great.

  8. I can’t believe this is what you got out of this interaction, they were warming up for their workouts and just dicking around, both of them… honestly nothing of note here

  9. Really? I watched the same video and came away thinking how annoying Cam Ward was. We’re probably both just reading into it too much with our own biases telling us what we want to see.

  10. I just see 2 dudes poking at each other and having fun during training.

If anything, it bumps up Shedeur’s stock just a touch because he has the reputation of being arrogant and he is getting along with someone and taking a bit of ribbing.

  11. Didn’t Sanders walk out on his team when they were losing?

Someone told me he was injured, but I don’t know that I bought it.

  12. They were just messing w each other, I thought it was funny and took nothing else from it

  13. I think it’s safe to assume you aren’t licensed in any field that would give these observations any credence. What a hilarious post. 😂
