Are the Yankees Developing the Next Aaron Judge… But Left-Handed?

The Yankees are developing a prospect who looks eerily similar to Aaron Judge—but from the left side. Spencer Jones, a 6’6″ powerhouse, has been working on swing adjustments that now mirror Judge’s mechanics, and his raw power is undeniable. In 2024, he posted a .259/.336/.452 slash line, hit 17 home runs, and stole 25 bases, but his rising strikeout rate is a concern.

  1. Sorry for the long break between videos was out of town! Question, how soon will we see spencer jones in the Majors? Bonus points if you recognize the hat. Also huge thank you for 800 Subs!

  2. He needs to keep his weight in check. It's the reason for the 25 SB and his defensive abilities. But he reeaally needs to cut down on strike outs cuz 9 in 2 games is wild crazy.

  3. I’d love to see Jones turn into really good ball player. An outfield of all home grown talent, Judge, Dominguez & Jones would be exciting. Great video Kris.

  4. Great info. On S. Jones. I can see him In center field with Bellinger and Dominguez on either side. That would allow Judge to move to first base and save his legs for more productive years in the future. Hope Jones has a great spring training.

  5. You never know with prospects. Sometimes you get an Aaron Judge. But more commonly, you get a Greg Bird. The jury is still out on Dominguez. Jones? We'll see.

  6. When Spence shrinks the K Zone this dude is going 2b a threat ! I really hope top somehow see him in the Bigs =Sometime this year !! Hopefully at least giving Goldy some time off!!! Players often have a break through and it all comes together !! Jones isn't that far away!!
