HAWKS POSTCAST: Hefty Schedule Ahead For Limited Atlanta Hawks, Toronto Raptors On The Clock

For the 3rd overall meeting (2nd in as many days), the handicapped Hawks host the feisty yet hungry Toronto Raptors at State Farm Arena on Saturday evening. Looking for different results than Thursday’s 122-119 one possession loss, ATL will have to stave off the youthful Raptors without two of its starters including instant offense off the bench, Deandre Hunter and instead rely on the return of frontcourt contributors Clint Capela and Larry Nance Jr.

  1. This Team doesn't have a true floor leader. Trey's body language is horrible when he's off ball and doesn't move. cut or try to come off screens. 11 turnovers…wow!

  2. Ill say it … Trae is the best play maker in league … that would be a huge bonus if he wasn't a small 6'1 guard tgat can be abused on defense … there is too much give & take with him

  3. Love the pod always!! And I feel like the team starts getting a lil discouraged once the shot making isn't there for the night! Just gotta find a way to keep consistent with the effort and style of play. Injuries are injuries 😪 unfortunately lol

  4. Hawks were missing players, but this is a different Raptors team than when the Hawks played the Raptors the first time this season. The Raptors started the season, with what was considered the toughest schedule in the league and were at times missing up to 6 rotational players. Currently, even though Quickly, Abaji were out and Olynk was out for the second game, the Raptors are starting to get their players back.

  5. Fire the GM, Trae is not a leader, he should’ve been traded when he had more value. Try the Nets to see if they bite. The Raptors are not as bad as their record suggests, they have a huge amount of injuries including most of their starting 5 for weeks, they also normally lose close games and cover the spread. If healthy they are better than the Hawks. Nothing changes in Atlanta until Trae is gone, this is a fringe play-in team

  7. 15% from the 3 point line is helping the point guard that passes the ball. Trade and get some shooters. LA traded their elephant in the room. Dlow. The elephant in the room is Bogi. Get a shooter for Bogi. Bogi has to be traded right away.

  9. The opposition knows his teammates can't shoot so they pack the paint to leave Bogi, Hunter, Mathews, OO, JJ, Clint,Vit and Roddy shoots a very low percentage from the floor and 3 point line. Ally hoops are taken away. Just trade all these guys I mention starting with Bogi

  14. I am getting sick and tired of the fans, owner, and Landry wanting hold on to these players. Travis said he will trade everyone but Trae. He didn't do it. Last year it came out that they would trade everyone but JJ and Trae. Landry has not done it yet. 😢 When are you going to keep your word.

  15. I’m a Raptors fan and I’ve always liked Trey Young. The Raptors are going through the first year of a long needed rebuild and they have also been bitten badly by the injury bug, but they are finding their identity through the season. The Hawks blew a 15 point lead I think, and lost by 15. That doesn’t happen to contending teams. Champions always manage to weather the injuries. The Raptors are focusing on the positives in their losing season. They beat the Celtics a week ago but are still positioning themselves to be in the running for the first overall pick. Good luck to the Hawks, it’s better to get the injuries out of the way now.
