I am assuming they are considering everyone minus those with a no-trade clause at this point.

Sell The Team
Thats wild as hell…. His stuff is so good….
well this is probably going to be the new normal until ownership issues are solved or the team is sold

People need to stop overreacting to every rumor. Every offseason with Preller we see rumors like this. He’s always listening on every player. Until we actually trade away one of these players, it’s too early to make anything of this.
Makes sense. It’s well known that players get better in their late 30s. Have plenty of time to strike with Bogaerts, Machado, Crone, and Yu just about to hit their primes.
I’m ready to get hurt again 🙃
I wouldn’t assume they aren’t considering people with no trade clauses. Plenty of players have no trade clauses that simply allow them to approve trades.
There’s zero reason to consider trading Cease, but not King, or vice versa. I would 100% rather keep King than Cease though. Cease is probably the player discussed most that am most okay with losing. Arraez next.
I’ve always assumed they could, at most, only sign one long-term between King and Cease. The answer may be both or neither. If they feel they can’t, trading them for well-scouted prospects with control is likely the right thing. Preller acquired these two; we should trust that if either is traded, it will be successful.
