What’s most disappointing as a Giants fan is that the spending yielded such poor results
Actual surprised at this number considering the team were putting on the field this spring
How many of those players are still here? Like snells gone. And who the hell is making that kind of money? Adames Chapman Webb verlander that should be it everyone else is trash or still on rookie deals ohhh rogers bros too
Where are all the âownership wont spendâ people at?
Lets start saying what the truth is: they spent but spent poorly
How are the Mets able to outspend the Yankees
Hopefully we see some returns on our contracts this year. I have a good wildcard feeling!
I’m really hoping the Giants get their monies worth soon..
Lee is a chunk of that cash and will be back. Under normal circumstances Lee, Adames and Chapman are great signings.
This is “how much each team has committed over a wildly varying number of playing years”. They did not spend that much last year or this year. A commitment/year would be more informative of a team’s spending.
Had the giants hit on Shohei, theyâd be #1.
*But the Giants are run just like the A’s, they’re now a poverty franchise because ownership refuses to spend! I read that on the interwebs!*
What is this representing? The total amount of contracts that were signed in the last 2 years?
How much they spent inthe last 2 years doesnât seem to make sense.
This is…not good gangđ
The gap between 1 and 3 is 1 billion dollars. That’s insane.
The problem isnât that weâre not spending. The problem is we donât have the potential stars in the farm system (outside of Eldridge)âŚthat we have to spend even more to get free agents to want to come.
Rage bait. This graphic is misleading to the insult of everyone here.
Pro baseball is absolutely broken.
At the core of it we are looking at a .500 ish team when they are bad and 100 win team when they are good. We are spoiled by the 2010s teams.
Well I know how much heartache and disappointment costs now
We need a salary cap
The marlins and the twins shouldnât even be allowed to be in MLB lol
Redo the chart showing how much teams could have spent to keep their FAâs in place.
