I really thought Jeremy Hermida was going to be a stud.
There’s no way in hell “Charleston Jimerson” is a real player.
Daniel Nava, there’s a name I haven’t heard in a hot minute.
Daniel Norris? No way
Only one of these guys has a moustache. What does it mean? đ«Ł
The start of a great power hitting career for *checks notes * Tommy Milone
Is Waino the only pitcher on here?
JP Arencibia. Thatâs a name I havenât heard in a long time. I thought he was gonna be a perennial All-Star when he started out.
Rockies never appear in stat graphics đ
I still believe in Brett Pill
Keibert’s first at bat in 2020 and 2021 were bombs
Wasn’t there a relief pitcher who took Scherzer deep for a grand slam? Surprised that wasn’t his first AB
I was there in person for Contreras and Morel.
Electric
I had no idea Waino hit one in his first at bat
3 diamondbacks on the list? yessir
adrian del castillo’s first career hit (a double off that big ass wall in cleveland) would have been a home run in 10/30 stadiums which is also pretty cool. but his very next game he hit a walkoff homer as his first and i prefer that one anyway đ
Just in case anyone is unaware, Austin and Judge went back to back.
Only time in history I believe players have hit a HR in their first career AB back to back.
That Jason Heyward homer was so cool
Heyward’s on Opening Day was legendaryÂ
I think it was the first game of a triple header on ESPN when he did thatÂ
Aaron Judge and Tyler Austin did it in the same game, back- to-back
Weston Wilson hit his in the same game as Michael Lorenzens no hitter.
Davis “Babe” Schneider had like one of the best starts to a career ever.
He became the first player in MLB history to collect nine hits, which included two home runs, in his first three games. The nine hits matched a modern MLB record that dated back to 1901. Schneider set another high water mark after playing in 20 MLB games with a 1.358 OPS over that span, which was the highest in the modern era with a minimum of 70 plate appearances.
He was instantly a fan favourite in Canada and had fans across the country wearing stick-on moustaches and shirts with moustaches and glasses on them.
Just don’t ask how his 2024 season went.
But I got faith he can figure things out this season.
My friend Mark Saccomanno sells Russian hats down by battery park. $40 bucks.
That Hayward homer hit like crack
Adam Wainwright shows us the reason why we should get rid of the DH
Kouz hit a grand slam on the first pitch he ever saw in the majors, gotta love it
Starling Marte hit his home run on the first pitch of the gameâand his first pitch in MLB. That was a cool moment.
I saw that Mike Jacobsâ home run when I was kid. Mets lost that day. Sucked.
I love Big Christmas
Man I wish Starlin Castro would have been on that 2016 team
Seth Beer is still a top tier baseball name
Adam Wainwright being on this list will never not be funny.
Weston Wilson hit a homer in his first ever at bat and it wasn’t even the most interesting thing to happen that game as Lorenzen threw a no hitter. Poor guy.
I also recently bartender for a gentleman named Weston Wilson who mentioned living in Philly who looks a lot like the player and man the disappointment when I found out it wasn’t the same guy.
Honorary mention to Marcus Thames who took Randy Johnson deep on the first pitch of his first AB. That was over 20 years ago, though.
Why are we not talking more about notable Silver Slugger Adam Wainwright on this list
Three pitchers on this list.
One them was an *American League* pitcher
Canât wait to join this list when I finally get my shot
Pretty sure Kouzmanoffâs was a grand slam! One of only a few ever to do that.
Ah yes, noted Cardinals Slugger Adam Wainwright
Chad Adam Wainwright
Adam Wainwright sticks out for me.
Brett Baty I will never forget your very first swing in the show đđđ
Random fun fact: Tim Tebow hit a homer in his first pro ball at-bat for a Mets minor league team
Kevin Kouzmanoffâs wasnât just a HR at his first major league at bat. It was a grand slam on the first *pitch.*
Thatâs only happened twice in baseball.
Luke Hughes from down under! Hit that homer off Max Scherzer. He played 2 games in April while Punto was in the IL. Went 2 for 7 and didnât get called up again until 2011.
Soto âtechnicallyâ did when he pinch hit for the resumed game against the Yankees lmao
Looked for Kaz Matsui. Remembered what year he actually debuted. Did math. Cried at old age.
