Looking For A Match In A Spencer Torkelson Trade (Giants mentioned)

  1. If the strategy is to develop Bryce it dosnt make sense, if the plan is to get help for Bryce, then why not Pete?

    Just don’t see it happening

  2. I admit, a Luciano for Tork trade would make for an intriguing change-of-scenery chance. Plus, he’d get to reunite with former teammates Bishop and Dabovich.

I wouldn’t hate this trade, if it were to happen

  3. Honestly, I was high on Torkleson when he was originally drafted. That entire ASU team was good, the combination of Torkleson and Bishop is what got them so far that season. The problem with a trade like this for the obvious reason is roster space. With two first basemen like Wilmer Flores and Lamonte Wade Jr. it’s already a tough fit for where he’ll end up playing. Secondly, only appeared in 92 games, and honestly pretty minimal production, I just don’t see it being a good fit. Third, and the best reason, Bryce Eldridge.

  4. I’d take a flyer on Tork

I’d add that he’s entering his age 25 season, he has 4 years of club control left, hes Pre-arb, he’s a former #1 overall pick, he’s put up a 31hr 94rbi season at the MLB level, he’s from Petaluma.

  5. If we’re going local, I’d rather get Andrew Vaughn from the White Sox. If Eldridge works out, he can DH.

  6. Why is everyone so quick to give up on Luciano? He’s only 23 and in the majors, and you want to toss him in any deal that comes along??

Glad Posey is running the show and not some of you

  7. The Giants have been “mentioned” in like 60 trades so far. I’ll believe it when I see it.

  8. Torkelson would be interesting. He’s essentially a younger, unrealized potential Pete Alonso.

  9. I’d probably trade a guy like Winn or Beck. Clears up an active roster spot and clears more innings for Roupp. Not sure the Tigers do that though.

  10. I think this is one where if we trade Luciano the tigers and giants would agree that both players need a change of scenery
