Not sure this would be the right move, unless it is on the cheap in terms of prospects given up. I follow the Sox and Giants, and La Pantera is just too injury prone to send a big package for in my opinion. That talent though, is incredible.

I like that we’re trying to make bold moves
Headliner was Whisenhunt. Wasn’t enough.
As a Giants fan living in Chicago, I’ve seen this kid when he is healthy. He has potential to be an elite talent and consistently does something to impress every game. His issue is staying on the field. I’d love to see him play in SF.
White Sox won’t move him at a discounted cost, we wanted the discounted cost, trade didn’t happen. I’m sure stuff like this happens a lot without the public knowing.
Keep discussing
Sign Flahtery and trade from the young pitching. He had a down year but with 121 losses I’m sure he wasn’t very motivated.
And then greg johnson said, “nah we can’t afford him. I need that money to buy my 5th mansion in Hawaii.”
I’m 100% on board with acquiring him. We have to take some risks to get better. And I am bored of seeing us trot out the same mid players year in and year out.
Well we just traded away a left reliever Rogers for a 25 yo right who has yet to pitch in the majors. Oh but we offloaded about $11 million dollars so the ownership group can break even.
Maybe we can sign Alonso to 2 year 85 Million dollar at the end of spring training and he gets a 6 moth opt out.
Earlier in the offseason, Baggs mentioned the White Sox’s asking price was Eldridge (probably among other players), which has been a non-starter for any trade talks.
I would love something like this. Bc we didnt get Snellzilla or Sasaski-san, we need like 2 more starters and an elite bullpen guy
I think this needs to get done and we can’t worry about the injury prone factor with team control on this guy. But teams wont be willing to give Sox what they want (and really deserve) for this guy until trade deadline based on his performance from now until then. Sox will either have proof in pudding or will have to settle for the types of offers teams are giving now- I bet we offered luciano and wisenhunt and wade or something similar
An outfield of Robert, Lee and Ramos would be the best outfield the Giants have had since 2003 excluding that 2 day period in 2012 between when they traded for Pence and Melky Cabrera was suspended for steroids.
Please send him to SF so I can still root for him
Yay we discussed him. Wth man get this non news outa here
The only White Sox player I want is Vaughn. But that’s only because he’s a North bay kid and went to my high school lol.
Funny complaining about him being injury prone when this sub loves Wade and Yaz.
Sure, makes sense and also makes sense why they didn’t make the trade….like this boring ass mediocre team. In the end, all decisions lead them to the middle and fighting the Rockies for last place.
Giants discussing trades of all people on trading block I’m sure. Asking the price is easy “discussing trade” headline to the sports writing and talk industry.
