[Breer] Seahawks VP of coaching operations Matt Capurro is leaving the team after 15 years to reunite with Pete Carroll and rejoin the Raiders. Was with Carroll at USC in 2009 and in Seattle ‘10-23, and worked for Al Davis in Oakland from ‘04-08.

  1. I figured some Seattle people would come with him after they did the awkward “you’re fired… but we’re moving you to a higher advisor role!” thing last year

  2. I like how Pete is keeping some of the incumbent and reaching out to people he’s familiar with. Wonder if he hires anyone fresh and unrelated to us or him

  3. The fuck ?!? People can willingly leave their franchise to join the RAIDERS ?? We’re in a new era for sure.

  4. Seems like the coaching carousel is going to grind to a halt. I see stability in the future. Finally

  5. Pete Carroll is not fuckin around. I know he said we’re going for it now, but I didn’t put too much stock in it as he said it……looks like he really did mean that shit…

  6. Nice to finally see some reasonable and competent hiring from this franchise. Very curious to see how the offensive coaches shake out.

  7. Hey hey hey! Stop it! Y’all got Pete and we’re happy for you, but stop poaching our staff now.

  8. Not sure how many Simpsons fans are around, but Pete is Hank Scorpio.

Wildly competitive, giving his guys everything they need to succeed, super optimistic, and hell bent on destroying his enemies with a smile on his face.
