2. I think the Isles should trade Nelson, Palmieri, Dobson, and any of the other aging veterans that they can, like Pageau, and go after Ehlers and Marcus Petterson as UFA while still looking at EP40 on the trade front.

11. Isles need to attract UFA – I know, thanks Capt. Obvious. That'll help with NY Area PR as well as the hockey ops.

Even if were contending come trade deadline Lou should still trade Nelson and palms, maybe not for draft picks or prospects but for younger players with term that can replace them, I’d do Nelson for pinto straight up or if Minnesota wants Nelson work on a 3way trade, pinto could replace Nelson on the second line, is a cheap cap hit next season and would likely sign a long term hometown discount to play for his childhood team.
