What we learned at Padres FanFest 2025 | 664

Padres FanFest was today and there were some things we learned. Manny Machado is one of the Padres disappointed by the lack of moves this offseason. Xander Bogaerts will be at shortstop with Jake Cronenworth at second base. Adrian Morejon will be in the bullpen. Fernando Tatis Jr. feels the best he’s felt since he was going into the 2021 season. Michael King would be shocked if he gets traded but Dylan Cease has not had any conversations with AJ Preller about his future. Ownership did not show up on stage at the Leadership Forum…shocker

  1. It’s time for this team and the players to let their performance and play on the field do the talking. We’ve heard all the words and platitudes from them for many seasons now. We need to stop convincing ourselves they are good and let them SHOW they are good during the season and in the playoffs. Winning WC series is fine but we still lost 115 million last year and the season ended with 24 scoreless innings. What this franchise needs is a deep playoff run and WS win. Winning cures everything. It might even inspire the owners to get their crap together.

  2. The earlier Fan fest at Petco for 100% better no question. The garage sale was never a three or four hour line before an autographed tables were in four different locations AND they let the season ticket holders know who was signing where. People could walk away with some excellent autographs and it was a true benefit to be a season ticket holder. I really don't think the last few people in charge have any clue what a Fan fest means to the fans. For season ticket holders it's basically the only benefit of being a season ticket holder. Granted their warrant as many people going to the games but now that there are you have to adjust and the Padres just don't. The way it is now you have to make a choice, autographs or garage sale, you can't do both. The lines are just too damn long . The answer of course is Saturday and Sunday Fan fest. They did it before and as long as they have so many fans they should do it again. If they keep going the way they're going there won't be as many fans and you won't have to worry about long lines anymore. It's clear with a waiting list for season ticket holders they have now found themselves in a situation up taking season ticket holders for granted. IF YOU DON'T WANT THEM SOMEONE ELSE WILL, GREAT ATTITUDE PADRES.

  3. Profar has been a well-established 240 hitter, with about 15 home runs. Last year was a career year and more like a career first half. I don't see any way he repeats last season so to give him three years and over 40 million what's a mistake the Padres could not commit. They have enough bad contracts.
