  1. I don’t get it, I mean, how can blocking that shot put him out for the season? Did it break his pelvis or something ? There’s got to be more to it.

  2. The Islanders won't be able to overcome the injuries they've had this season. Sorokin can't play every night so we're relegated to a 4th string backup. Our best forward has been missing a good chunk of the season and will be out indefinitely. The defense has been hit with injuries more than any team I've ever seen. We have only 2 of the original 6 defenseman who were on the opening night roster presently healthy. I didn't think with a healthy roster we'd be more than a Wild Card team at best. Time to sell and regroup for next season.

  3. Damn this team has no injury luck. And this will make more than half of the season Barzal will be out. From a shot block. They needed to sell even before the injury so maybe blessing in disguise unless Lou uses the LTIR money and goes bananas.

  4. You can pronounce French Canadian players names with your francophone flair (Samuel Bolduc) why can’t you properly pronounce Scott PER-OON-O-VICH…and it’s RO-MON-OV not Roman-off
You are reporting on our team (our’s AND your’s) you are in media, albeit social media – do better for us and our team!

  5. Unfortunately as a NY Islanders fan for a long time, I just don’t see The NY Islanders doing much at all this season.
It’s going to be not making the playoffs or getting bounced out in the 1st round if they are lucky enough to make a wild card spot.
Also now with the injuries that don’t help the team neither obviously.
The Isles would be better off to sell off and rebuild or retool again. If the goal is to win a Stanley Cup, sorry this current roster is just not getting it done
I feel sad and disappointed more for us loyal NY Islanders fans.
