Makes sense. Koby wanted him back in 19 when we took DG.
Dude is putting up 19ppg off the bench on good efficency. Cavs most likely don’t have the assets to get him
I don’t ask for much, but I am asking for this…
Depends tho on who they’re giving up. Performance wise, de’andre hunter has been great, but I hope he doesn’t affect team chemistry
we don’t got anything to offer that they would want
not sure if we’ll be able to afford him unfortunately
This would be a dream lol.
He’s a good two way player.
Dear God I’m so chronically online I thought this was a Centel tweet I had to triple check just to make sure lol
Is Nance Jr. available to? He’d be a good depth piece to back up Frobley.
With how well he’s played this year, I can’t imagine we have enough assets to actually make this happen.
That’s the kind of guy we need offensively. Fits the team great positionally. Rebounding and the other side of the court leaves some to be desired. I would hope we don’t give up Okoro, Wade, or Tyson in a hypothetical deal.
He makes 20 mil a year. Okoro and Niang would do it at almost 19 mil. That would get it done salary wise, but I suspect any deal the cavs make that could potentially mess with team chemistry would also have to get them under the tax. I suppose they could expand the trade even further to make that happen, but now you’re getting rid of 3 pieces, however insignificant, from a 40 and 9 team. I dunno. I get both sides of the cavs trade deadline debate 🤷♂️
Ty and him won the natty together at Virginia
realistically what can we give for him?
No way we can get him.
Also says Atlanta is looking for Ingram and would send Capella to NO.
Could potentially see a three team trade like…
Cleveland gets:
Hunter
Nance
ATL gets:
Ingram, Tyson, Caris TT, many second round draft picks from Cleveland
NO gets:
Capella, filler?
I struggled to make this work with the trade machine but I don’t have time to fine tune it if anyone better than me at that sort of thing wants to take a stab, please let me know if something like that could work haha
Please don’t give up Tyson.
I would love him, but curious what we’d have to give up.
I could absolutely see it happening. Would be Levert and Tyson imo.
Would love to get him. I think he’s worth what it takes
this feels like a long shot, kinda all depends on what the Hawks (or potentially some third team) thinks of Tyson.
i‘m very fond of Caris and think he’s playing the best ball of his career this year. unfortunately think he’s the one who goes in this scenario.
outside of the core 4, anyone can be moved. it’ll effect the chemistry in the short-term + cap considerations needs to be made but these are the kinds of swings potentially worth taking imo
Stealing content and engagement from the people who run that account is bullshit.
I also wouldn’t be opposed at kicking the tires on Capela or Bogdan in that order
#WOULD
This would be an “all-in” move for the next several years. I would hate to mess with this current squad but Hunter would be worth the price.
I don’t know what they’d have to give up and whether they even have assets they’re willing to part with but I’d fuck with this for sure.
We do have the pieces to make this work, depending on who they love, between 5 and 10. We also have some prospects that they might be interested in, to sweeten the deal. Idk, though…he’s got a lot of value right now, so I’m not sure we could reasonably acquire him. I’m not okay with sending off Wade or Okoro, but I fear that would be inevitable. The offense isn’t our issue, really. We need to retain Ice and SWade. I don’t like trading shooters like Merrill. I don’t like trading Jerome(despite the very real chance of not being able to re-sign him, he provides too much value right now, to a Finals run).
I don’t see it.
I really, really don’t like the look of his defense. This is not the 3&D we need to complete this roster, IMO, as he’s only got the 3 part of it down. He’s consistently one of the worst defensive players on his team, second-worst the last few years only to Trae, and 3rd this year behind Trae and Risacher. Anyone on the hawks will have their numbers dip a bit thanks to playing with Trae, but this guy’s year-over-year stats say he’s also part of the problem.
Even with his leap in efficiency this year, he’s barely grading out as a positive player. Hawks want to get rid of him because he’s overpaid and drifting towards 3rd string on their forward depth chart, once all their guys are healthy (behind DD, Jalen Johnson, Risacher, and maybe even Okungwu when they play big).
We need a solution on the wing for the future, but I just don’t think this guy is it. I think he’s closer to a younger, more expensive Niang than he is to a solution for the future at the 3.
I think we could get this done, but it would take a third team to really be worth it for Atlanta. LeVert and Tyson aren’t enough
Man, I think I like him even more than Cam TBH. I think he’s a better defender and I feel like the Nets have been waiving Cam around for a while expecting 3 FRP for him
