It was close, but Nick Swisher wins as the average player fans couldn’t agree on. Now, we get to the players people don’t like. Who is/was a Cleveland player disliked by fans despite being good?

  1. Kenny Lofton I know there are a lot of fans that don’t like him for accusal of sexual harassment

  2. Got to be Manny “Money” Ramirez right?

Also could be Jose Mesa–I mean he finished second in Cy Young in 95 behind Randy Johnson

  3. Anyone who thinks that Austin hedges is a bad player doesn’t understand baseball or team sports, and the fact that this puts him in that column invalidates the entire meme in my opinion.

  4. Joe Table, it’s not often you can correctly point to a single person or player who cost their team a World Series.

  5. Milton Bradley. The guy had a .321 batting average and an OPS over .900 in 2003, and Eric Wedge insisted he be traded due to all the distractions he caused to the team. In addition to his lack of hustle and running from the cops, Milton Bradley released board game disasters such as Stuff Your Face, A Day With Ziggy, Do The Urkel, and No Respect: Rodney Dangerfield’s Game.

  6. ’13-’17 Bryan Shaw. Pitched half the games, got out of an incredible amount of jams, all with an ERA+ of 130 to 150 each year.

  7. Swisher and his Bro-hio slogan was a low point for this franchise. He was so awful here.

As a honorable mention I would throw in Jeff Kent. He was just terrible in Cleveland.

  8. Chart says Swisher was a bad player, title says he was an average player. These confuse me
