  1. Have to figure a dozen teams were in on him, so nice get for Jed.

Although I don’t want him trading with the Dodgers anymore. Bad Jed.

  2. I mean it worked with Busch, might as well. If we can’t buy the guys they want we can take the good ones they don’t have room for.

  3. Love it! Brassier seemed pretty broken on Boston until the Dodgers fixed him. Hopefully he can retain that

  4. Holy shit we’ve actually got ourselves a bullpen for this season. I love it.

Anybody know the return yet? Can’t imagine it’s anything crazy, I’d assume an A-Ball type prospect

  5. This is good. The bullpen needs a ton less work early in the spring. Too many early injuries in combination with poor performance last year.

  6. I have nothing against this trade. On paper it looks like a decent move. But he was DFA’d by the Dodgers last week. It kinda feels like the Dodgers trash is the Cubs treasure.

  7. At first, I looked at his stats and wasn’t amused. Then I read the article reasonable-pop-103 sent. I actually like this idea if that’s Jed’s plan. Get Bregman for a higher AAV on a Bellinger-like deal and stay below the lowest CBT threshold. Our roster is filled, we have a solid third baseman with slight regression. He may not have his bat like before, but he’s still quite adequate. The lineup will be craaaazy. Happ-Suzuki-Tucker-Bregman as the starting four is tough work for other teams

  8. Is this the dude they’re DFA’ing because if your ERA is 1.50+ you’re not good enough for the dodgers ‘pen?
