5. Don’t like the Golden State trade but do think it’s time to admit that this team is going nowhere and that Booker and Durant are the only players that have significant value on the Suns right now. Would like to see them hold on to Booker, auction Durant to the highest bidder, use some of what they get back to sweeten deals to move Beal and Nurkic and then do a proper rebuild with draft picks and free agents. Imagine having a team where the players are actually selected to fill rolls on a winning team instead of guys they can backdoor on the roster in a way that complies with the salary cap restrictions they’re under.

   I suspect Ishbia is too arrogant to cut his losses though, but hope I might be wrong.

    KD 47,300 mins vs Butler 32,200!
    5 more seasons of milage (35 mpg x 85 games played x 5yrs) so Butler over KD not as crazy as it sounds (as kooky as Jimmy is especially since Jimmy Buckets hasn’t had as many season ending type injuries as KD and is also a yr younger).

    Also quietly in JUST PLAYOFFS (2020s only):

    Butler > Durant in PER (24.5 vs 22.2), WS/48 (.206 vs .136), BPM (7.2 vs 5.5), VORP (5.7 vs 2.4).

    Butler lead teams 37-27 in Playoffs since 2020 (2 finals runs and another ECF game 7….+50 +/-)

    KD lead teams 13-18 in Playoffs since 2020 (-73 +/-).

    2020s Playoffs (not career bc 2010s KD elite playoffs)

    KD 2nd or 3rd team (though his 2021 was amazing!)

    IF Suns got Kuminga (who I’m high on…averaged 21, 6, 3 last 14 games before hurt this year at 22 yrs old) and Jimmy Butler in 3-4 team trade for Durant and picks that’s a no brainer to me given KD’s age/milage/injuries (even though KD in my Top11-16 GOAT tier).
