    Also for those who didn’t see, since Ingram has returned he’s had an average SV% of 91 and in the past three games for both goalies Ingram has averaged a better SV%.

20. I don’t even need to do cardio, I’ve got Utah Hockey Club games for raising my heartbeat!

    This was an interesting game. I watched the first and third period and felt like Utah was clearly the better more aggressive team but Columbus just had some puck luck. Lucky for us it that did not prevail, but it made for a weird feeling of a game.

    I’ve really been liking the aggressiveness of UHC on offense. We have been shooting a lot and sustaining a good chunk of O Zone time. I’m not saying Guenther is the sole reason for it, but he sure does help! I think we are getting healthy at the right time and each guy returning brings a shot of energy with him! (Keep in mind the playoffs are still a long shot, but playing how we are it’s gonna be a nail biter of a season)

    One thing I noticed was a few sloppy turnovers. Marino had one in particular that was real scary. But there were multiple so it’s not just on him. But overall I felt our defense was good! We had one early goal and a soft short handed goal. So even though they got two, I think our defense was better than that indicates. With Durzi joining the team for the trip we may even get a look at our legitimate blue line! We will have to keep in mind that this new healthy blue line has not played together hardly at all so it may take a second for that to settle. But regardless we will have a healthy group! 🤞

    To note on the play of Ingram. I totally agree that shorty was bad, but honestly he is trending in the right direction! I love Veggie and would like to see him on a more like 2 games on 1 game off kind of rotation, but at the end of the day the Coaching staff knows more than us. I don’t think they are switching off the tandem just to not hurt feelings or be fair. I get the frustration, but I’m a Bear apologist so I’ll keep trusting the system haha

    Also gotta note how lovely our PK is. I seriously think the insane amount of penalties we committed in the first chunk of the season, has turned into a blessing in disguise! It is nice knowing we have a nearly top 5 PK unit! Power play could use some work, but once we have Cooley back I’m confident that will be LETHAL again!

    Major props to one of our best playmakers, Connor Ingram! Haha the range of emotions I had when we turned over the puck with three blue jackets heading for it, to see Ingram heroically pulling up to fend them off, to Gunner slinging it to the pads then slinging it again into the net! Oh man what a roller coaster these two overtime’s have been. This is why we watch hockey folks! It’s that sinking feeling in your gut to a moment later euphoria at the goal horn! I hope everyone enjoys this because it’s amazing, that we are all here watching OUR team do this!

    We got a tough road ahead of us, but man let’s just keep having fun!
