‘I loved covering your teams:’ Two on-air sports personalities at 107.5 The Fan laid off

I know it’s not exactly team related, but Andy Sweeney and Jimmy Cook were (suddenly, it seems) laid off from The Fan, the main sports talk station in Indy. Not entirely sure why.
I never really cared for Query and Company, but the morning show with KB and Andy was pretty good.
Probably $$$
Well that stings. Andy just moved here in 2023. I guess the last hired is first fired.
Sometimes Andy annoyed me but sometimes I kinda liked his schtick
I listened to KB and Andy most mornings, really enjoyed their on air chemistry and the different perspectives they brought. This stinks for them and us.
Before I read the article, I was worried it was KB. I was getting ready to riot.
Sounds like they didn’t even get a chance to say goodbye on air. That’s tough.
KB and Jake are the key voices for those two shows, but I thought they had been on vacation.
Sweeney just had a kid so that’s gotta be really rough.
did kb ever say anything about it? Jake did a segment on how awesome Jimmy was and how he’s sad to see him go. It was nice to get the news first hand.
Andy’s voice rubbed me the wrong way, and I never felt like he had a passionate take (which i feel is important in a local market).
I was pretty pleased when they kept Jimmy on after kicking DD to the curb. He worked pretty well with Jake and I definitely will miss the duo (helped keep kate on target).
Personally the 7am show is better now, and the midday is slightly worse.
