A little bit surprising to hear this. Certainly can’t expect the Wings would get much back in return. He has been a bit better as of late.

  1. We would have to eat some salary, but given how things have not worked out well, it might be best to try and move him. Even if the return is a bag of pucks.

The cap space alone over this deadline or next year is worth a lot.

  2. Ya I mean I can’t imagine Yzerman watches his play and is pleased probably thinking what a lot of us our he’s definitely a hole in the top 9. There’s a reason he’s still going on the 2nd instead of swapping off with Kane

  3. This makes no sense.

Wings are in the hunt and buyers, and his trade value is at an all time low as well

  4. Can’t imagine them giving him up before playoffs, but Tarasenko ++ for Sam Bennett would be interesting, as he still hasn’t signed an extension. Wings could use a dog like that.

If he was a few years younger I’d be all over trying to get him.

  5. I’d retain the max on him for the remainder of this season for futures honestly. Get him off the lineup, he isn’t adding anything.

  6. Would be nice to send him out for draft picks without retaining his salary so Shine can stay up 👀

  7. If there’s a chance of having Buchelnikov over here next year, keeping Tarasenko would help him adjust as he’s the only Russian on our roster.

  8. To the blues: Tarasenko + Danielson + protected 1st + a cap dump

To the wings: Jordan Kyrou + a 2nd

    Who says no?

  9. I feel like ‘senko and Kane are kind of competing for the same role. Idk what it is, but the juggling between them all season feels to have been more beneficial to kane, and senko just a step behind. Idk that a trade is the best move, but we need to upgrade our roster to hit that next rung; I think we keep one and pivot the other into someone either much faster, or much bigger with the same depth. It may come down to offseason and what kane is looking for next year before anything happens.

  10. He has the goal scoring instincts but he has lost the speed and agility to actually get open and score
