Mayor Dilkens formally vetoes Windsor-Detroit tunnel bus

Posting this here because many of our Canadian friends take this bus to Red Wings games at LCA.

Dilkens has been looking for an excuse to do this for years
Didn’t the city council say that they may override the mayor’s veto? I have been watching it in the news and last week they said that they might.
I’ll say as a city resident I know firsthand many people from Windsor regularly travel into the city, work in the city and play in the city. If this is retaliatory action against current adminstration, then IIRC, the city/Wayne County was one of the biggest voting voices in the state _not_ in favor of the current adminstation.
Just saying, I’m not sure this is sending a message to/hurting the right people.
I’ve taken the tunnel bus over so many times for games and other events. Convenient, I can have a few beers and fully enjoy without the hassle of driving home. What a shame this service has been discontinued.
