A player who refuses to get better defensively, has actively gotten less efficient each year as he gets older and can’t play within a system cannot logically blame the front office if he himself refuses to get better… he and lamelo are far from players who affect winning at the moment and fans will come to realize this about lamelo as well. Both chuck way too many shots up and both refuse to buy in on defense let alone playing actual organized basketball 😭 both are the definition of accidental basketball.

    even tho trae is smaller and isnt great on defense he plays more defense than luka
    he shoots better than luka and have the ability to play off ball some
    and he's more of a willing passer

  17. Not sure what we’re doing? The move to acquire Dyson Daniel’s and drafting Risacher shows they’re surrounding Trae with lengthy wings that can defend, to make up for his defensive inadequacies. Funny thing is if Jalen Johnson didn’t go down with injury then we wouldn’t even be having this conversation

  20. I’m just floating ideas here, but would Trae fit on the Celtics? Obv this would require that JB demands a trade. Celtics would probably want a guy like Dyson Daniels in addition to Trae bc Trae is so bad on defense, but idk

    Haven’t watched a ton of Celtics or Hawks this season so don’t eviscerate me

  21. Trey is 20 and 10 a night guy but for him to be used best he needs to be paired with a rim protector. Spurs, clippers, jazz or timberwolves would of been nice

  27. Trae Young is a guy who averages 25 and 10 ifor his entire career on 59% TS and I’m supposed to believe he’s not gonna have a big market because he’s not a great defender? Sure buddy sure

A few teams that should think about it for the right price; Orlando he's a good 3pt shooter and can play on or off ball, Houston as a perimeter creator, and Toronto to be the play creator and offer shooting. He's not a perfect fit for anybody but those teams are up and coming and could use him as a second star

  32. Never, ever thought I'd see a Luka trade before trae.

    I kinda think their best move is to rebuild WITH trae. Mostly due to his contract + deficiencies, but this might be how to get the most out of trae.

  35. Trae doesnt have much trade value. I think theyve been trying to trade trae for a while now but i doubt they were impressed with thier offers.

  36. I could see Trae in SAC after De'aron left. Maybe, phx could figure out sending away Beal. OKC has assets but they don't really need him. MIN if McDaniels dos not impove. In the East ORL looks like best fit for Trae.

  44. The Hawks should consider moving Trae Young this summer. Before anyone brings up Jalen Johnson's injury, the Hawks were still barely around .500 when he played. Despite all of the help that Trae has now compared to previous years, he is still shooting the ball poorly and turning it over at a career-high percentage. They went as far as they're going to go with Trae back in 2021, and it arguably took the Sixers collapsing for that to happen. How much longer can they keep doing this before realizing that Trae, as good as he is, can not take them far?
