3. Also sad the 1st 2 Eagles draft pick Cornerbacks play better than our 1st 2 draft pick Cornerbacks despite Brad being a "CB guru"

4. Somehow we need to match pound for pound talent on the defensive line with the Eagles and it won't happen just through the draft.

    I don’t trust the draft will fix all our issues on the D line. We need another game changer on the line Brad. On a personal note I like Cooper out of Iowa more than Arnold.

13. Broderick Martin pick was almost unforgivable. He traded up in the 3rd round to get what essentially was a reach for a project DT player.

    We should have and could have used that pick for someone on the D Line that could contribute right away.

14. I feel this is a terrible take! Brad made our offense 100x better based on the fact that he saw an opportunity to move up and grab specific players.

    Imagine not having Gibbs, Laporta, Jamo but we have a second to Hutchinson on the defensive line. Then the take would be, well we don’t have anybody offensively to help St Brown.

    I agree that our defensive line has to get better, but I guarantee that we don’t see 15-2 without Brad Holmes decision to grab Gibbs, Laporta, Jamo

15. We should have Drafted Jalen Carter, we still could have got Gibbs in the Second round, Carter was a no Brainer in that draft, Gibbs would have still been there. Other than that we need to make a Move for Garrett, cause the Eagles are too Dominant. Goff Scares me cause he's not that athletic like Jalen Hurts, Our defense needs to be fully healthy and stay healthy.

18. Been saying that for years about Brad Holmes and drafting D linemen. Aiden literally fell into our lap at two, he was the clear cut choice at DE that draft. Outside of us getting lucky Aiden fell to us, Brad Holmes has really only drafted Alim as a DT that's panned out. Levi, Broderic, Paschal, that's 2xsecond rounders and 1 3rd rounder burned. People didn't want to hear this shit a year or two ago.

    On your mentioning one player the Lions drafted, Giovanni Manu you and I both were over the top on when we first saw him last year !
    We will see this year what he has become under the training with Hank Fraley ! He will be the new monster tackle to play opposite Penei Sewell ! YES

22. Hopefully, Brad is humble enough to see where his shortcomings are. You don’t go bargain shopping for D players at the dollar store. Broderick Martin pick is disgusting. Aside from the wasted pick, you have to also question what the heck he saw in Martin! You have to hope that Brad self-reflects and can adjust. If not, we’ll have a fun regular season, get into the playoffs and, once officially in the playoffs, we can pre-make our tee times. We are soft.

23. Brad Holmes HAS to make a big move/moves on the d-line in this off-season. That's the only way to keep the momentum of this organization. There is no excuses anymore.

25. Eagles built through the draft too. Big difference? They build BOTH lines not just the O line. I’m not saying we need a freak D like the Eagles but trenches goes both ways man. However a great D doesn’t stop Goff from 4 turnovers. It doesn’t address giving up on Gibbs who was shredding the Commanders at will. It doesn’t stop the stupid gimmicky trick plays that did nothing in the playoff losses. New coordinator should address that but draft HAS to include NEED too. He treated last draft like we were all set and could trade up for projects.

30. Brad said it himself that he tried to get pass rushers and they were not there. He did eventually get Za Darius Smith who had the most sacks on the team besides Hutch! I get it, now since that Super Bowl, people want to blame Brad like he knew the entire defense were gonna be hurt. The man did his best acquiring the best players he can get. Understand Hutch, Alim, Davenport, Rodrigo, Barnes, and Iffy were all hurt! All of these guys can get to the QB or make plays on the run. Not to mention other key defensive players. This video makes no sense because now is not the time to blame Brad. Now after watching the Philly and Chiefs game, if Brad doesn’t address certain issues now then ok it’s time to point fingers. But give the man a break he did the best he could man we were 15-2 the best damn record we ever had, dominated the division, and broke plenty of records with most of our starters out on defense!

31. Let me ask you this Jeff, you know Brad put together one of, if not the best offense in the league right? So If our defense didn’t get hurt, with Hutch leading the team in sacks, with McNiel and Reader dominating the middle, a healthy linebacker core, CD3, Amik, and Terrion doing their thing, Branch and Joseph dominating their position. Do you think the Lions would’ve made it to the Super Bowl this year? Be honest

32. This is literally the dumbest fanbase on the planet.

    Aidan Hutchinson is their alpha. He is going to return and will be their lead rusher again. Alim will be the same at DT.

    In this defense, the 43, the front 4 has up to 4 rushers. The LBs don’t rush. The DBs don’t rush. The issue is the Lions are running the 43 and to maximize it they’re keeping an extra DB on the field regularly. That puts them in a 425.

    Meaning the DE2 is often tasked with LB3 duties. That takes away one rusher. A guy like Micha Parsons would fit the scheme. But they’re not going to trade for him. Guys like Crosby or Garrett are, in essence, Hutchinson (LDEs) so they’re not moving for them.

    THIS IS WHY THE JAGUARS TOOK WALKER OVER HUTCHINSON. Scheme versatility. The Eagles are running a base 34, by the way. They’re using 3 290 LB DTs across the board to generate their front line, you can do that with Walker. You cannot do that with Hutchinson.

    Do you YET get why the jags opted for scheme versatility? This is why Hutchinson has said there are only so many chances along the line. You cannot change scheme, you’re not going to add a 2nd LDE behind him and task him with rushing the right side and each role in the 43 is built for the 43 and cannot be interchanged with a 34 concept.

    Why is this so hard for fans to understand. The Lions literally told you this. They made the choice to stick with the 43 the day they drafted a 275 lb edge rusher.

    It’s a lousy scheme, but hey. Hutchinson will het you 5 sacks in a couple games. 🤣🤣🤣

34. I appreciate your take, yet for the past 2 season everyone seems to be fine with outscoring their opponent. Let Brad Holmes cook, right ?…. The issue should always have been invest in the defense. The trenches is where you win or lose. The Eagles have shown how you build a football team, from inside out. I just don’t want people piling on Holmes because this team had nothing, I think he’s smart enough to see, yeah I have work to do.

35. It is quite clear after what the Eagles did to the Redskins and Chiefs that the Lions weren't gonna beat this Eagles team either. The Eagles were beating the back to back defending SB champion Chiefs 40-6 with 8 minutes left in the Superbowl. This Eagles team is one of the greatest teams of all time.
