[Purple Row] Are the Los Angeles Dodgers ruining baseball?

  1. Let’s just try and beat the Pods and DBacks on a regular basis. Maybe 50/50 the giants.

Or I don’t know. Win at home?

  2. Obviously yes. It’s not just the Dodgers. There has become a huge separation of the top earning and top spending teams from the rest of the teams.

Yes the playoffs are a crap shoot and, yes only one team is going to win the World Series.

There used to be three tiers and a well run mid-tier team could compete with the big boys. Now that gap is SO much bigger. The big boys are pulling away.

The Rockies are a poorly run mid-market team but it feels like Colorado St football against Alabama football. It’s just different levels.

  3. Starting to remind me of European soccer where each country has a few teams that pay exorbitant salaries and generally win the most while fans of the sport hope for the Cinderella team to win it all out of nowhere.

  4. The Monforts are ruining baseball as far as I’m concerned, and beyond that, it doesn’t matter to me because we’re irrelevant to the game thanks to a man named Dick.

  5. Every team can spend money like the dodgers. They’ve realized if you add more big players. You get better. (More money) You sell more jerseys. (More money) you make deep playoff runs. (More money). They are running a sports team the way it should be ran. Not spending less profit more. Spend more Profit more.

  6. yankees were worse, dodgers arent buying every elite player that hits FA, dodgers are just one of the better run orgs in the league but also have a lot $$ to complement that and retain players
